Its nice to see a young man like you keeping American steel on the road. I have owned many old caddys, I'm 56 yrs old and have my 2nd 1967 DeVille convt . You have done a great job getting this car road worthy . I enjoy watching the videos . Love the patina , drive it just the way it is !! I'm a 37 yr pro paint and body man, I wouldn't paint it . This car and others like it show what this country used to build. QUALITY with CLASS . Ive been hooked on classic cars all of my life . Every time you take it out for a ride your making a statement . Best wishes and be safe out there .

My Aunt had a black '56 Sedan de Ville with a white top. She bought it new in Panama where her husband was stationed with the Navy. As a kid, I thought it was the most beautiful car ever made. I still do.

The car show (what we saw of it) was great I love old cars/trucks. I love seeing what you have done to the Caddie looking forward to the suspension upgrades too. I'm from the Buffalo NY area. Cars shows are free, for both car owners and the general public. The venue (Chamber of Commerce) charges a fee for vendors, such as sellers of parts, accessories or food. This is how the costs are covered usually by a non-profit organization.

Mostly '60's & '70's models. I bought a 77 sedan deville, 79 fleetwood, & 1967 deville convertible (over the years). Currently i have no Cads. Sold the last one about 6 years ago. My brother & i did that as a hobby.

35 bucks? Jeez... I've paid $5 buck admission for a few, but never 35 bucks. It's my kind of show, all old iron, but it would never be worth 35 bucks to me. Glad the caddie made it there and back, super confidence inspiring for sure! And awesome to see your grandparents. I have lost mine a few years back. One of them made it stateside, never did make a video with her. But she got the american V8 mustang experience. Hahaha!

Wow- coolest car in the world. I love that has not had its patina erased! ...Bombshell bumpers- Botero-esque. It looks so warm and friendly compared to the shiny black hearse behind it. I was joking, but it IS a hearse! You win, from what I see here. The business coupe, is great to,o except for the stereo. That must be "the" wife?! Oh my...- have some children please!

Cool vid. Not sure I'd shell out $35 to have the privilege to visit with other enthusiasts. In Houston there are groups that converge on a parking lot every Saturday as a forum for fellow renovators to show off and share information. No fee charged! Loved seeing your Grandmother's smile. BTW - Those old land yachts always felt like you were moving slow on the highway. Always fodder for the police to accept donations. Fortunately, I never needed to contribute while driving my Dad's old behemoth when I was a teenager.

Sometimes even on the less expensive cameras there is a setting for the audio. I thought my Canon Vixia had some place to set it but it does not. I guess the only thing would be to get an external mike, if you have a jack to plug something in. Sorry, buddy, I was just trying to be helpful. Not criticizing.

Love it! Seems so odd to see such a young guy so into old cars, but it's great none the less. It's very nice of you to take family for a ride, wish I could go for a ride in that neat old car. What is the white knob on the steering wheel? That would drive me nuts. If it's there to aid in turning the wheel, do you really need that with power steering?
@TheCorvetteBen
@TheCorvetteBen 6 лет назад
+Taylor Z the power steering helps a lot, but the knob makes it so you can turn the wheel faster
