I'm a Mopar guy but the 57 Black Widow's are one of my favorite Chevy's ever made. The dual quad and fuel injected 283 was Chevy's first real high performance engine. The Chrysler 300's dominated NASCAR in 1955-56 but it was a whole different story in 1957 with the Supercharged F-Code 57 Ford's, the J2 Oldsmobile's, the Tri Power Pontiac's, and of course the 283 fuelie Chevy's all being released around the same time and later all being banned by NASCAR around the same time. Dodge's homologation special was the 57 Coronet D-501 with the 355 horsepower dual quad Chrysler 354 Hemi but the D-501 also got banned because of it's multiple carburetors. Midway through the 1957 season NASCAR banned superchargers, fuel injection, and multiple carburetors. I think Buck Baker won the 57 NASCAR championship driving a Black Widow Chevy but I believe Ford won the 1957 manufacturers title with 26 wins to Chevy's 21 wins because the Supercharged Ford's were so dominant early in the season until they got banned and everyone had to run a single 4 barrel carb after that. 1955-57 was really the beginning of the Detroit horsepower wars that lasted into the early 1970's

Back when an outside mirror was optional, that looks like an after-market. Also love the "jigsaw puzzle" pattern on the seats & door panels.

I actually prefer the cleaner styling of the Chevy 210 over the Bel Air. I'm not a Chevy guy but that is one sweet 57. I like the sleeper look

This car look's just like the car David Carrideen drove In a movie I had seen back In the late 70's / early 80's I can't reamember If the movie was named Salt & pepper Shaker ' or If there was a 57 Gasser named Salt & pepper Shaker ? In the movie the Black & White 57 went through the roof of a car dealer ship ' being chased by the cop's & kept on going after that stunt . I don't remember how the movie ended ' but It was A COOL FLICK at the time !!

Beautiful, well I have a 57 blk and wht 150 wagon fuelie. Diecast! I was surprised to see a 150 wagon with fuel. I figured that was for bel air only. Your car is great!

I think I may jave found a legit Black Widow on craigslist near me. It's a pile but I don't know of any other "factory equipped" 57 chevy race cars.

Ok anyone can rev a car in driveway and idle down driveway lets hear the fuel injection In a hard pull open road its a different sound .... not many have experienced I know how the 57 ramjet sounds i have grandads he ordered from nalley chevrolet In 57 .. used for white light transport.

Did the Widows come with 15" wheels? I know they were 6-lug.

fit it truck rim remove the v old piture no inj image still nice car some had shaw bar out of a vet ,own a 57 sedan delivery 98 % org dark green color 235 pg ps pb long way to go

they made like zero 210s with rubber boobs on the front bumper. 150s even less.

It looks great, but its running on 6 cylinders.
