Beautiful restoration job. One question. Why didn't you use the chrome spears on both lower sides of the doors, that were an integral part of the 1959 trim kit, that distinguished the 1959 from the 1958 and 1960??
If you told me that was owned by Elvis Presley ...I would TOTALLY believe it ... Awesome looking ride ...very classy appearance thanks for the root-beer eye-candy 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
You have built truly an amazing car!😊🚘 wish more Thunderbirds were saved!👍🏻 If you don't like the video i can remove it! Or if you want to add some more information i can put it in the description.😉
Nice restoration but, sadly, the 1958 models on up were butt ugly brand new... and still are. Can't imagine why Ford , at the time, seemed intent to destroy Thunderbird's once very very sexy image... and absolutely succeeded as later models kept getting more and more bloated and hideous. At least Chevy didn't follow suit with it's 2-seater rival, the Corvette. Yeah, beginning in 1968 they were crappy designs up until not that long ago, but at least they were true to their beginnings as a sexy 2-seat sports car. My then new 1980 L-48 was beautiful and sexy but underpowered and handled like crap. What's worse was the initial quality featuring sloppy fit and finish, the worst I've experienced in any new vehicle to date. Thankfully, the new 'vettes are amazing. Too bad the Thunderbird is history.
@@michaelshort7297You went out of your way to say that tired old line? Really? If Ford didn't want to make the two-seat T-Bird anymore they should have just quit making them. The original T-Bird should have been the only model made. They already made sedans. They just didn't have pride in their choices
@@jerrybushman I learned as a young boy some 50+ years ago that if you don't have anything nice to say, it's more polite to keep your thoughts to yourself. Having said that it was meant in jest. Relax, take a deep breath and smile. If this is the worst part of your day you're going to have a great one. Take care...😎
@@jerrybushman My 70 bird is one of the best fords ever built- hands down. Lasts longer than any vette, and has more factory hp. 429 was better than any vette motor.
