I keep re-watching this for the absolute brilliance of Erin’s glance, which is low enough to not reflect the studio lights and makes her eyes look actually like painted plastic. I’m just obsessed.
I love that you kept your eyes to the side, because as a lot of Barbie collectors know, her eyes were never front facing, or looking directly forward until later in the years, where she became more "confident"
I have a Barbie from that time, I think she’s called fashion Barbie, and she has three different bubble cut wigs - brunette, blonde and red. That’s where the inspo came from and yes her eyes are to the side 😅 she’s still in the box! Wrapped up 😮
The blank expression and the slight subtle movements with that music was absolutely a vibe and it really reminded me of a Eurythmics video; it was so artful!
I have the first blond Barbie, with ponytail curledat the end, black and white striped one-piece fitted bathingsuit, and a few original outfits. Back in the day when a girl got only one Barbie.
I still have my 35th anniversary replica of the original Barbie, I got for Christmas as a teen in the 90s. I think she's more beautiful than the original! Even though she's not as valuable.
Hey they were prettier but let's face facts 90's barbies are the last wave of beautiful barbies because nowadays they look too politically correct looking and fugly as shit🤡🤮🙅🏻♀️
You are so beautiful. Has anyone said you look like Gwen Stefani? You look just like a Barbie in the makeup looks you did. Seriously the side eye was everything for the look. Fantastic.
I no longer live in Los Angeles, but I used to do a lot of pin-up photoshoots when I did. Erin, I’ve been following your work for awhile. You are one of the most talented MUA’s I’ve ever seen! Keep doing your thing! You are incredible ❤️
Thankyou so much! I used to only work on other people but since Covid hit, just got tired of being on set for a 12+ hours. Especially doing natural makeup 😅 so here I am 😂
@@erinparsonsmakeup I can’t even express correctly how much I enjoy your work. I’d give anything for you to do my makeup it’s fascinating how you create so many looks. How did you get started? I assume you loved makeup as a kid. You need to write a book girlfriend. I’m your biggest fan I’m so happy to have found you. Wishing you all the happiness in the world.
I still have a ton of these Barbies in storage. In the sixties my Great Great Aunt would hand make clothes from cloth samples a friend would bring to her, so my mom's Barbies had dresses and matching coats made from the most beautiful brocades with real rabbit fur trim. I still have a lot of them. They're better than anything produced by Mattel.
ha!!! Listen to this, My Mom was raised United Pentecostal & her Mom made all her Barbie Penecostal clothes! 😆😆😆 I had a Barbie Limo & a Barbie Rolls Royce. My rich Barbie would pick up her frumpy neighbor in long denim skirts & prairie dresses with all her kids and take them to town! 😆😆😆😆
Oh you are something else. Wow, each video you post outdoes the last one. Such natural talent and such devotion to building your skill. You're an inspiration.
Yes! Finally! After years of straight hair since the '90's truly "moving on" to someone like Erin Parsons to bring style and class to hair fashion! Thank you Erin!❤️
@@JJ-ll9rc I don't feel that comment was putting anyone down. Maybe you need to re-read it. Simply stating that Kardashian beauty standard being the trend , is unobtainable and non-sustainable for many women, yet this beautiful example shows that many styles of beauty , hair, and makeup are available and obtainable. I do appreciate your opinion though. 😘
EXTRAORDINARY, as usual, Erin😘! All you're missing, is the black & white chevron-striped swimsuit🩱👡& shades🕶. Along w/your crazy-bananas🍌 talent in MU artistry, your choice of music, & how well you choreograph your timing & editing, is just perfection🤌. I know that's not an easy feat, & I truly appreciate your effort😍.
This was insanely well done! Brava! I must share this now! More people must experience this awesomeness! Perfect song and so many seamless frame changes! 😍 You're truly talented in many ways, darling!
Undeniably impressive! You're so very skilled at makeup and I thoroughly enjoy the slow turns that look like you're a porcelain Classic Barbie. Well done!
When she has the plastic pieces in her hair… omg too real. Giving me PTSD to Xmas morning with my daughters when I couldn’t get Barbie out of the package fast enough to stop a meltdown
BiiiiH!!!! Erin Paraon is GAWD REINCARNATED!!! She IS THE BEST IM A FAN AND IM HOOKED!!! I just watched every single one of these videos and I want to go to her church and have her fill me with her spirit! So I can be HALF as good!
Wow! The original Barbie, perfectly done. A living doll. Quick fact: They added the blue eye shadow bc Barbie looked kinda “ sinister “ with the “ side glance” and back liner. True.
I had this Barbie! In 1960. I was eight years old! I’m 71 now! Thanks for a beautiful memory! She had a form fitting long black sparkling evening gown on! It was the only dress I ever owned for her that was store made. Couldn’t afford Barbie clothes so I made my own out of material scraps I found around the house! You are an artistic genius! You look exactly like her! I’ve seen your other work, amazing!🥰
This is the first one where the eyes are spot on. Great Job!! I would love to see a video where you show us how to do the eyeliner for this look. It's perfect!
How is it in a society obsessed with plastic the wrong ones are famous for doing absolutely nothing yet this woman remains relatively unknown and has so much skill and talent? Amazing as always and always gets a share and more than one view..I rather show my daughters this than anyone else to highlight the transformative effects of make up..and a skill learnt!!! Love from Australia 🇦🇺
She transformed herself into a 1960's wig mannequin (the beauty standard who looks perfect in any hair color/style) and then replicated ALL of them for the period. That's it. This has to be witchcraft.
Someone needs to make this woman famous! Every time she makes a video it’s so impressive❤😊: edit: sorry I don’t know this woman’s whole life story I didn’t know she was already famous. It’s not that serious
SHE is the one making herself famous! She has relatively few videos/shorts here on RU-vid however has justifiably attracted a massive following. Her unique, high-quality, eye-catching, and fresh content is attracting new subs at a rapid rate!
Omg YES. The sassy look on those classic 60's Barbie is probably my favourite look on the doll! You're gorgeous though, no matter what style you're going for! 💕
These are beautiful and I also feel these looks with the right outfits and accessories could also work to look like flight attendants of a certain era.
