Thanks for posting this, but the title is misleading. It's not a commercial, it's a "filmstrip". (If your under the age of 40, you may not know what that is) Probably made for Cadillac dealers and not the general public.
Marshall Curtis Wrong, this filmstrip would’ve been mandatory viewing for Cadillac dealers in order to help them get better acquainted with the vehicles they had to sell. Do you really think potential casual customers would voluntarily sit through this? Lol.
That's what the 1960 Cadillac was all about. It was in my opinion the most graceful and stylish of all the models...of Cadillac and all cars of all time. I know that's a strong statement. But this coming from a car guy from the '60's. It just doesn't get any nicer.
Once had Ford salesman slides & album LP that went with them (dad's friend was Ford dealership owner), these were salesman visual aids, the sides were loaded in a slide carousel in order and the tone alerted when to advance to next slide. It appears that the slide show was loaded backwards in the carousel.
They were all left hand drive from the factory, the reversed image showed these as right hand drive. I was more concerned with the way the narrator couldn't finish a sentence without hiccuping...
That flattop looks just like the white 1960 Cadillac I owned briefly in 1984. I sold it to a collector (though most people would have junked it as it took me awhile to sell it). Mine did not look too bad, but it barely ran.
