I'm glad you were able to rebuild the old one. I am doing one on a 68 Corvette today and this will help. Thanks for posting it

@@mechanicalaction you can drop those parts in evapo rust & come out like new vs a the wire wheel scratching . Good job .

@@nixaeagle141 Good point! Definitely would have been faster. Will keep some around for next time.

Removing the retaining ring with an awl while depressing the piston with your thumb looks risky to me. Otherwise, thanks for this helpful video.

Is a gasket needed from the master cylinder to the booster or u just bolt it right up ?

In the video, I noticed you swapped out the C-clip for a snap ring to hold the piston in place. The original c-clip is impossible for me to install. Where did you find a snap ring that would fit and what size was it? I have bought 2 sets of snap rings -- the 1" is too big to fit into the cylinder.

Hi! The new snap ring came with the rebuild kit. Not sure about the size… would have to go measure it. You could also use a micrometer to pull exact measurements off your c-clip, then search online for one that fits those specs, or just get the kit that includes it. Sorry we don’t have more info!

where can u find the tools that you used in the video

Hello. Most of the tools we used are general shop tools. The main specialized tool that we used was a "brake cylinder honing" tool which can usually be bought at your local auto parts store or online.
