I owned a Saab 93B 1959 as my first car as an eighteen year old in 1970. It was also upgraded, as the shown car, from 750 cc to 850 cc with an engine from a 1964 Saab 96. It still had its original 3 speed gear box, with an unsynchronized first gear. The car in the video has been upgraded with a four speed gear box that was launched in the saab 95 estate in 1959, but not until 1964 in the sedan model 96. It ran great and I remember us pushing it to 130 kph (80 mph) in a downhill.....we had so much fun in that car. They were considered some what outdated beeing 11 years old back then, but there was 4 of them among the students in my school. I always envied my friend who had a 93F with the front hinged doors, it is the most beautiful Saab in my opinion. Beautiful car that runs great.! Greetings from Sweden

We now have super cars that sound like old V8 Muscle cars, but back then, they had economy car that sounded like V12 Supercars! That is awesome, all of it!
Many years ago, I was going home from a party in the wee hours in my SAAB 95 wagon. As I shifted away from a traffic light from 1st to 2nd the shift lever came off in my hand. With a bit of distance left to go and not wanting to stall or burn the clutch I just kept driving in 2nd without stopping till I got home. I used vice grip plyers as a shift lever for a while and they worked just fine until I fixed the shifter.
She is a stern beauty with a raunchy heart ... between the people living in wide rural areas .. they were also nicknamed 'bush telegraph' . as they announced visitors still concealed under treetops 🌷:)
I had a 57 year model and later a 1966 Monte Carlo 2 stroke which I replaced with a 4cyl Monte Carlo.After changed to a 99 which was a massive improvement especially space.
My father's first car in the 60s was a 50s Ford Prefect, he was very pleased with that one (I was a toddler at that time). After that he got a Saab 93, and he still talks about how unreliable it was. He never got a Saab again ... still wonder if the car he bought had some flaws or if he just didn't manage the two stroke engine. One cylinder always went dark, he said.
The English Ford Prefect and Anglia were very good automobiles. I had an Anglia when I was going to school at the University of Florida. I had a friend there who wrecked his Saab 93 because of oversteer when he was driving on Rock Creek Park highway.
@@ericnadaoka9038 They were good cars, indeed I actually now own a Anglia '58, as a hobby. And my father owns a '66 Anglia, drives it a lot during summers. This '66 was my grandfathers first and only car, after that is was used by my uncle, then by my cousin. My father restored it in the 90s and its a popular sight in the s mall city he lives in :)
Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!!! (BABBVEN)
What a load of crap!!! I don’t know where you get your info from but the one thing that will change ( perhaps) is the there be no NEW ICE cars produced from 2035 on so I can buy an ICE car on 31 december 2034 and keep on driving it for the next 20 odd years
