Everything looks good. Nice discs. There is really no wrong way to disc a field. You are just out there to chop it up. You dont need to run the Cub at max throttle all the time it will lug a little with the governor in proper working order. If it has not been running for a few years use a good detergent oil at first to break down the crud and change the oil a few times before you switch back to the 30 weight non detergent. Make sure the little tube that runs from the engine block to the air filter assembly is not plugged. Most of them are because the line is so small. That line is important. I had to cut mine and replace it because I could not unplug it. Also the air filter element that the little oil bowl clips onto, it needs to be cleaned out periodically. The only mention of cleaning this comes from the factory manuals. The entire assembly needs to be removed from the tractor and rinsed clean using kerosene or diesel or whatever you have Oh and dont forget to scrub the pipe too. You will be surprised at the gunk that comes out of the element. Let it soak overnight, rinse clean and let it drip for a while before reinstalling. Cool Vid please do more. Thanks.
Those cubs are worth their weight in gold, nice work. Lucas has some great additives too. Had frost Saturday and Sunday in St.Lawrence. Hopefully that's over
I used something from Lucas on my 340 to stop a hydraulic leak. It worked great. I’ll check out their other products. I hope Spring comes up there soon. Thank You for watching 😊
That's a sweet Cub!!! It did well from sitting and not running for a long time. Nice! Not to much smoke. Rings should of tightened up or should have after that work out.
Great looking Cub Tom! It looked like the smoke cleared up by the time you were finished. My Grandpa had a 1955 Cub which was the first tractor I ever drove or used. A lot of people today might scoff at a Cub but when they came out, they looked like an M to farmers that had spent the last 40-50 years walking behind a mule.
@@MarkWYoung-ky4uc yes. He had 2 transmissions hooked back to back. Said he pointed it toward one end of the field, climbed into the trailer snd shoveled off manure, then turned it back again. His Cub and 100 spreader was revolutionary 🥸
@@BearCat459 won't smoke that much. A cub holds like 7 gallons! That's not that oily in that much fuel. In like a gallon n of gas yea. I think it says to put unlike 6-20 gallons to clean the fuel system. Some of the small cars over the years only held like 6-7 gallons
@@natevanlandingham1945 my cub has never been overhauled and doesn’t smoke at all. I put a can of sea foam in it and filled the tank it smoked ram that fuel out and put new in and stopped smoking. This was the case in 2 cubs and 1 super A.
