I'm a real fan of this bike. I worked at a Honda dealership (1968-1973) and the owner would take British stuff in on trade, but only if I would buy them. I was 17 years old when I started there and by 18-19, I was the king of the British bike flippers. I'd get them sorted out, ride them for little while, sell them and make a quick $200 profit. Made enough to buy my first proper race bike by 1972. OHHHHHHH the memories.
Looks good Mike. Thanks for your inspiration. I’m waiting on two more parts then I can spend some quality father and son time together with my baby boy and hop up my Bonnie. Good times ahead.
Fantastic update Mike. More than the other bikes you've worked on this one has me thinking a lot about the previous owner and how "right" it is that the bike came to be in your possession. It's a pleasure to watch your thoughtful approach to recommissioning this bike. I can only imagine that the previous owner would appreciate the care you are taking to preserve the character of their bike. Thanks for sharing your work.
I do admire your patience and “you enjoy” cleaning up the fuel tank it look great now. It’s a real pleasure watching you taking the bike apart and the care you take with ever nut and screw you sure are the right man for this job👍👌 “
I'm so glad you decided on retaining the Flame-paint job. This will make that lovely bike one of its kind. It was very tastefully done anyway, I do hate over the top flame jobs. Awesome machine
I always look forward to Sunday morning and a new Mighty Garage installment. In Kelowna, B.C. I was out on the bike on Thursday. It snowed on Friday. Had to happen. Cheers Mike!
Hello from New Zealand. Love, your videos 😊. Really enjoy your ride videos, but the workshop ones are just so interesting. Thanks for taking the time to share your projects.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos. I have one safety suggestion. I always remove fuel from the gas tank outside when doing maintenance and have a fire extinguisher handy. I realize that sometimes weather conditions won’t allow it but it’s a good practice to follow if you can. I look forward to seeing you riding that Beezer….
Great content to watch on a cold, rainy morning. Awesome progress, Mike. Inspiring me to get out in the garage! Wow, that ultrasonic cleaner works a treat, doesn't it! Hmmm, might have to talk to Santa about one of those. Cheers! 👍😃🏍
Very therapeutic Mike , it has just the right-amount of patina , looking gorgeous . You caught it at the right-stage of its journey through-time . Dave
Thank you Mike. Personally I especially enjoy the workshop sessions with a little extra instruction, e.g. explaining the products and methods you use so that we amateurs can learn for our own projects. This week we had the fluid mix for the ultrasonic cleaner and the Harley polish for example. All good info! Best wishes, Neil
Another great video Mike, those parts are really cleaning up nicely. I'm going to have to look into one of those ultra sonic cleaners. Keep up the great work!
Back to the garage! Perfect job Mike, I‘m happy the tank worked out so nice. Cant wait to see the upcoming work. Best wishes from a little snowing Zagreb!
For now? You are leaving the paint job for now??? Don't make me come over there Mike and tell you off. Please leave that unique paint intact. It is the only one in the world like it, and it came up beautifully after you cleaned it. Great video old mate. Cheers.
Mike, I appreciate your very Brittish approach to a very prestine Brittish bike. Don't worry about the content, you just have to talk into the camera and all my stress blows away.... You should start up a new career as a psychiatrist taking care of all men who have a hard time adopting to the "new society" What can be more true in life than a man working on his loved bike...
On my second cup of tea as usual while catching up with today's video 🍵 The petrol tank looks a treat as do the 'pet cocks' following a dip in the Ultra Sonic, a great bit of kit .. 👍 The carb will I'm sure be the same & well deserved with a few new parts. I note the 'Manxman' still 'lurking' .. waiting in turn for attention .. 😅 Thanks as always for sharing atvb t .. 🏍
Mike, you are obviously filming this by yourself and getting really professionals results. How do you mount your camera so it doesn't get in your way while your working? Also your sound quality is great, are you using an auxiliary mic? I have been a long time subscriber and really enjoy your videos.
I know theres been lots of positive comments about this bikes current paint job. But I just have to say that from the very start I really cant get my head around it. It would be so much better in its original colours. Sorry
i have an A10 framed 'special', can't work out what the purpose is of the bracket with rubber bung is for hanging off top frame tube in front of cylinders, fender to keep cables/wiring pinch free?, any ideas?.
