I parked next to this Skylark at the 2013 Hot Rod Power Tour n Birmingham Alabama. The sky that day looked just like it does here. Also saw it on the 2012 HRPT in Milford, Michigan at General Motors Proving Grounds. Bob is a great guy. He was undergoing chemo treatment at the time. His son Mike and wife are really nice people as well I am always pleased to meet nice people driving another beautiful Buick. You get the best cars. Rock On Scottie D!
That is a sweet car! Everything looks great but I can not get over the hard lined Vintage Air and he said the air bags were hard lined also. It was hard for me to run rubber hoses on my 57 Chevy, but hard lined, wow!
My local Buick dealership has a vintage riviera just sitting outside. It's been there for years. I so wish they would restore it and put it in the show room. This skylark is amazing too
Thanks Scottie for showing the Skylark I really like it the Interior jumps all modernized. Two tone paint is Cool so are the wheels n tires. You don't see alot of these. Wow motor's clean n tucked in Chevy Ls. And air too. Sharp Car Scottie
Woah this is Georgious, Thanks for findn this Buick Scottie. This guy does this for a hobby??? Who thought.. Tucked in LS and clean, air ride on bags.. The red and cinnamon n carbon fiber kills. You find the hottest cars please keep em rolln!!
I don't have a bunch of time to cruise around with them....but like I road to this location from where it was parked...I do some ride along videos....everything has to be fluid in my world...at a show I have no idea what will be there...who I will be able to shoot...or what I will have to deal with...like back ground music
I've always had a fondness for old Buicks and these early '60s Buicks are some of the most beautiful! People don't think of Buick as Musclecars, but Buick was making some very powerful cars that also combined the best in luxury and latest technology and ended up with classy "Gentleman's Musclecars"! I love everything except the engine... even though ALL late '70s and '80s GM cars had Chevy engines from the factory, I would've dropped in a GN 3.8 V6 Turbo or a 425 Buick Nailhead and turbo'd it!!!
THAT IS ONE BEAUTIFUL AUTOMOBILE,IF IT WASN'T FOR THE GREAT PAINT JOB AND ALL THE CUSTOM WORK ONE COULD EASILY OVERLOOK THIS CAR.THE GUYS SON IS ONE TALENTED INDIVIDUAL AND YOUR VIDEOS ARE EXCELLENT.ONCE A MONTH THERE IS A CARS AND COFFEE IN ST PETERSBURG FLORIDA CHECK DUPONT REGISTRIES CARS AND COFFEE ON FACEBOOK SO WHEN YOU ARE IN FLORIDA CHECK IT OUT.THE ONLY THING IS EARLY IN THE MORNING 7 AM TO 9 AM.KEEP UP THE GOOD CAR VIDEOS AND GOD BLESS.
Cool find Scottie. I don't mean to knit-pick, but even with rain-storm on your mind, you forgot to ask about the wipers. This guy drives this thing across the country? I can see him getting by with using rain-x, but can you register a car without windshield wipers?
Another great find Scottie!! One question though.....Do you actually get to ride around in any of the cars you film?? Not the show cars, but the cars that you show such as this one where it's just you and the owner.
It is every bit as nice as my 1958 Rambler Rebel V8. Oh! By the way, Scottie, his son is obviously a very talented craftsman, perhaps an engineer. Keep it real, brother!
The Skylark and Olds F-85 were unique in a style that was "Little big car" Nobody did it better. The 215 CI V8's lived on for decades in various British vehicles.
Not at all...I have to control these shoots...Bob would have gone on for days...and with a storm just minuets away...we had to go!...I am very honored every time someone lets me shoot there car....lets me tell there story..so arrogance is not what your seeing...in this case it was direction...
Christian Benn Ya...lot of the customs they leave those off....not going to drive it in the rain...and they use Rain-x in case they get cough out....I thought he live on the east coast....I could be wrong...
Man o man would I be happy to own that bad ass beauty. Really nice. Somebody’s vision was right on. The style of the car, the colors, the motor, the wheels, the whole thing is tits.
I know Bob’s son Mike, the guy that build the car. A lot of time went into machining all the custom parts and he machined them and programmed the machines to make them. He’s a real talented guy. He also built a 66 Nova for himself that has a lot of Custom work done to it also. There is a video of it going through a tunnel on the 09 hot rod power tour, I’ll attach it to this comment below. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZnfAYN7PoRw.html
