My parents had a 62 Belair 2 door coupe. White with blue interior. We took many a trip in that car, until my father traded it for a 66 Impala. I remember that Belair fondly.

My dad and uncle both had new 62 Belairs ,one a wagon and the other a four door sedan. My older brother also bought a used 62 Impala four door hardtop and I had a super sport. My favorite all time chevys.

I always loved the 62 Bel Aire station wagons, the 61s are great looking ones also,in fact I think the 62-61s Chevrolets are the best looking of the 61-64s fullsize Chevy line.

Our family was mostly a Dodge/Plymouth family until our '75 Chevrolet Caprice Estate wagon. I remember our '63 Plymouth Belvedere 4-door sedan in which my brother and I would argue over who would ride on the shelf above the back seat. No concerns back then for our "safety".

Great looking cars...but...death chambers. One crash and into all that glass and metal you went. They didnt care....

If only people knew back then what an iconic car the 62 Impala would become. Everything pretty much went to hell starting in the late sixties and seventies.

The ass end sits lower than the front like a 65 Chrysler.

The comment about cars lookin and more alike... but the Chevy looking different... don't think so. To see competitive cars that look different look at the 59 Chevy, Ford, and Plymouth.

Seat belts on now! Where are the air bags? Terrific commercial Cross promoting an airport?

Formally known as IDLEWILD airport that year. So many air lines no longer exist from that era.

Yep! Pan American and TWA are both gone when at one time they were the premier airlines of the day. :(

Nice looking cars, but they sure downgraded the dash look from the 59/60, which was the best chevy dash ever.

I would have been in the middle of the two boys in the commercial age wise. Not exactly the best filming I have ever seen. It seemed pretty jerky. I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Were they selling a jet and airport? That ugly 1962 did not get too much screen time. Less than 10 seconds in 2 minutes! ow not to show an ugly car. Advertising agency genius!!

Why do I see you on every comment section talking bad on the old school cars? they’re beautiful cars.

Ugly? I didn't think the '62 was ugly. Like most Chevys it wasn't flashy just tastefully done. You want to see ugly look at the Virgel Exner cars of Plymouth and Dodge of the early '60s , they were so ugly they were cool.😀

For being an "ugly" car, why was it the best selling name plate in the U.S.? One of the best looking Impalas of the decade. Obviously some people have no taste.
