My uncle had this car in blue. He bought it new in 62', I rode in it in 65' when we went to the NY Worlds fair.

Beautiful. I grew up in the 1960s in Northern Wisconsin. I didn't know until I was 16 in 1970 that cars could have air conditioning. Nobody had A/C in their cars or homes.

Nice T-Bird. Head turner for sure, with that color combination likely won't see many like it. Nice cruiser, will keep up with today's cars with no sweat. Great price, too.

John: what a beautiful Bullet Bird! Great car, great price. Someone's going to have a great Spring!

The `62 was the best dressed of that generation of Thunderbirds. The "hash marks" on the rear fuselage are far more attractive than the hash marks on the doors of the `63 or the stacked hash marks on the rear quarters of the 1961 models. These were indeed beautiful cars. the 1958 "square-Birds" through the 4th generation 1964 - 66 models really are very cool cars with great features and styling.

I met a man in eastern NC that gifted himself a double retirement package - 20 years on the line with Southern Bell/ AT &T, and he had 120 of these Birds he'd collected sitting in three rows, door to door across a pasture- and he was planning to sell them all as a package.

The next gen was significantly improved (especially with discs in 65), and AC, PW, power seat options became more common, but I have always loved the bullet bird on styling alone. It probably wore the T-bird roofline better than any of them, and you've got to love the rocketship taillights. Love the door handles - such a clever piece of design. I'd be pleased to own this.

This particular T Bird color combo is really nice. Have been a T Bird efficiando for years. The pointed birds were a classic styling. You are right about the front disc brakes starting with '65. Have had a '65 Landau for 29 yrs. Rebuilt it along the way with a few subtle modifications. It's a highway cruiser for sure.

What a nice car! It’s really a stripper without air conditioning or even power windows. A car of this caliber really should have these items. That color is one people will either love or dislike!

Nice Car! We have a black on black one in our family that my parents bought brand new. This is like ours in the fact that ours does not have air conditioning or power windows either. Ironically, in the case of most old cars, the rare birds are usually the fully optioned ones where in the case of these Thunderbirds it's the minimally optioned ones that are hard to find. The beauty of not having that power stuff too is also the fact that you never have to worry about it breaking

These were the cars that started my love affair with the Thunderbird when I was 8 years old. I remember being on a family trip from Arkansas to Wisconsin in the summer of 63 and my sister and I competed to see who could count the largest number of their favorite car (hers was a Mercury Monterrey). A beautiful design! The new owner is one lucky guy or girl and I hope they care for it as well as the original owners.
