Mein erstes Auto 1980. Perfekt restauriert. So schön war mein Exemplar aber nicht. Aber es lief und beförderte mich zuverlässig von meinem Zuhause zur Kaserne und zurück. Es lebe Simca.
My Uncle was the 2nd person in Louisville Kentucky to work on Foreign cars.. Don Corletts was the first but my Uncle Henry he was the second he had a Shop off Frankfort Ave.. He always drove Simca, Fiats, Renault's and Some Datson's old Triumphs and tiny Subaru's and old little bitty Honda civics but he Always would be in a Simca always think of him when I see one...Which isn't very often
Ich habe 1967 den Simca 1000 gekauft, wenn ich denke wie oft der auf der Transitstrecke verreckt ist. Besonders im Winter machte er viel Ärger. Na ja, eben die gute alte Zeit.
It seems like voitures Françaises could never quite cut it in the USA. They were come and go. There was Simca, Renault, 2CV, Peuguot, Citroen. All of them long gone.
My first car was my mom's handed down Peugeot 505.Hands down the best car I ever had.Being a stupid teenager,I smoked a BMW once.I named it Pepe Le Pew,after the cartoon skunk,as it was French built,and diesel back then reeked.I had a head on with a drunk driver in a K car,who swerved into my oncoming lane.That butthole had to be towed,I drove off with just a slightly damaged bumper.My dad's colleague had a Citroen DS Pallas.It was as if it was from another dimension-amazing.
Mio padre l'ha tenuta fino al 1969. Aveva sempre nel bagagliaio una cinghia trapezoidale di ricambio, un manicotto del radiatore ed una bottiglia di acqua per il radiatore. Le cose che si rompevano solitamente. Bei tempi, esistevano anche macchine economiche. 😄
Mio padre ne acquistò una nel 64. Un vero disastro, ogni giorno ne aveva una. Avrebbe fatto meglio comprare una Fiat 1100 D oppure ina Renault R8. Decisamente più affidabili.
