I looked at a 70 c10 that I was thinking of buying and it was already lowered. I thought cool that's one less step. I wish they'd cut the springs but instead they used a torch and heated them up to collapse them. The only suspension travel that poor truck had was the rubber bumpers. I passed on it 👎
I have drop spindles for my 68 C10. How can I tell what size my drop spindle is? I want to know if I have a 2.5” or 3” drop spindle? Any way to measure?
You could set them up next to your originals and try to measure the difference in height between the center of the spindles. We doubt you have 3" spindles, they are probably 2.5" or 2.25"
@@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV thanks. I’m trying to figure out why my truck leans towards the driver side. I did a lot of research online and a lot of people have my same issue.
@@boi1der522 You can always lower it without a C-Notch and see if you have clearance issues. If you do, add a C-Notch, if you don't then you're all set. If you go 3" in front our recommendation is to do a spindle and a 1" spring.
This video had some awesome info. What wasn't covered though was if installing drop spindles and someone chose to keep their stock size wheels, would there be any clearance issues between the lower ball joint or lower control arm and the rim?
