1963 MGB Heater/Ventilation Overview

I currently have my 1963 Mgb taken apart to address some rust from having been left outdoors for many many years before I bought it. Wow, I am doing so, it seems like a good time to show some video of the various parts of the heater and ventilation system, specifically the various openings in the car, and how the air flows depending on how you have the various flaps configured.
Not shown is the Hester box, itself, which contains the heater core and blower motor, along with a flap at the bottom to move airflow from the floor to the defroster.

Thanks for posting this - very clear view of the heater area. It is difficult to see and understand when everything is in place.

Thanks for posting. It's helpful just to see stuff that you can't see with the front instrument panel there

How do you open and close that vent door ?

There’s a small lever on it. Early cars (1969 and earlier?) have a straight handle that sticks out directly to the side, while later cars have a more elaborate handle that sticks down further and is generally easier to operate/reach.
