What a wonderful video. So many memories came flooding back. I think it would be great to have similar toy- scaled household implements today. Either boys or girls could use the those items to play with.

When my nephew was a toddler (about 22 years ago) two of his favorite toys were a vacuum cleaner and a stove. But back in the '60s they were only marketed to girls.

this tour has been fantastic!!....even though I was only 3 when this book came out, I can recognize some of the toys from my childhood.....its been a wonderful walk down memory lane.....and the attention to detail in these 'homemakers' sets is incredible........no wonder some of these toys are still around today........sure beats the stuff kids are sold now-a-days.......:-)

I agree, things were much better built in those days. Not so disposable. Thanks for watching!

Kids could actually play and use their imaginations with these items, as well as being physically active. I remember having a child sized plug in iron and ironing board and being thrilled,as a little girl,to be like mom. You provoked some nice memories here. As always, a big thank you !

I so LOVED Vintage Part 3 Montgomery Ward Catalog:)!! All of these items were made and played with before I was born, but in the Wishmaker Colonial Dollhouse the Pink Plastic Bed and Pink Cribs looked somewhat like some of my old Dollhouse Furniture:)!! I had Dollhouse furniture in which some made from plastic, some from wood, and my Iron Stove was made of Iron:)!! Also, I had a green metal Kitchen that I played in with my Friends:)!! Seeing those old Kitchen play sets reminded me of that:)!! However, my favorite in this Catalog is the Moss Rose China Tea Set, Blue Iron Stone Tea Set, and the "pretend" Milk Glass Tea Sets:)!! I still have a Tea Set that was my Mom's and she gave it to me as a Child. My Mom's old Tea set is Aluminum and is silver with Cinderella as well as her Carriage on them:)!! Thank you for sharing these really awesome Vintage Toys:)!! I am looking forward to Part 4 with all the Vintage Plush Teddy Bears and more:)!!

Loved visiting memory lane with your detailed look at rhe Ward Catalog. I recognized the metal play table and chairs my brother and i shared before the other two kids came along! Ours was red white and blue with animals. I loved looking at the such deluxe service ware and kitchen ensembles, and especially afore the Marx metal houses and furniture. I didnt have any if these but did receive an ironing board and iron as well as a play sewing machine. Guess what I love to still do!?😊 I look forward to the next one!!

I remember getting Mr snow cone for Xmas. It did not work well. Where do you get all this info?. Are these from digital archives at the library in rolls?

I bought a copy of the entire catalog in pdf form, on eBay. I had to convert it to jpgs in order to make the slide shows.

Holy moly! Someone needs to make a time machine so I can go back and get all these toys. I was born in 1987, you guys had awesome toys back then. Why can't someone make a time machine? Let's go I want to go back there and get all these toys. Lol.

I wonder if kids play the same way as we did in the past. Playing house was the best. Since Toy r Us shut down, I doubt it not many places to find new toys. Would a kid want an iron and ironing board? I did. LOL
