Come along as we flush the 15 year old brake fluid and button up a few other things before a test drive. Also we chat a bit more about bug and are asking for help on the next project with it.
We go over some of the rust in the floorboard and other areas that need attention -

You're in cal so start with the floor pan to keep the rare rain out , and when you do your door cards, use a heavy plastic vapor barrier to keep them nice. work your way up the body for rust and maintain the mechanicles. Thats what I would do. dig the car.

Thanks 🙏 yes floor pan and door windows/seals are next up. We got some door kits delivered yesterday 👍

Inside the door panels should be a polythene sheet. This prevents moisture from warping the door cards.

Still making progress that’s good. Have you checked your valve clearances yet? As for future projects I would go for sealing up the transmission. Clean up the front bean and grease.

Bought the valve cover gaskets and need to check them. Yeah the drivetrain is going to need to come out at some point. Think I need to invest in a pressure washer too Robert. Thanks for the comments 😊

It would be nice to replace the front turn signals as they look worn. ;)

Agree Jim and one seems to be in worse shape that the other, pretty inexpensive to swap out too thanks!

Nice update, as far as the next project, reseal the window, scraper, rubber, carpet on the floors was not stock on 63 just rubber floor mats. Then door cards and finally floor pans. Start sealing from the top down, that will save your door cards and help keep the water out. Btw, where did you get your brake bleeder at?

Too much talking, not enough showing us how to install break fluid

Thanks for the feedback, probably done this a hundred times. Pretty straight forward with all drum brakes. Start at the wheel furthest from the master cylinder and work towards the shortest. Have someone pump the peddle to build pressure and open the bleeder into the can and repeat until the fluid is clear.
