Willys produced this cool pickup with four wheel drive to compliment the Jeep and the Jeepster. I dare say this one doesn't participate in off-road ventures! It's really a showpiece, and it demonstrates that even pickups were concerned with two tone color combinations. The interior, following Jeep tradition, wasn't fancy, but ultimately usable!

I sure remember these and it's sure been a long time since i saw one. This one is beautiful - i really like the two-tone color combination. And it sure is a truck built to work hard.

That comes from a time when trucks were trucks! Ingenious use of the basic Jeep idea. Thanks! :) Jack

Hey, John! I'm glad this one brought back great memories of the pickup you had....it had to be pretty rare! Thanks! :) Jack

Hey, guys! This certainly is "Jeep" rugged! No wonder the Jeep and Willys survived when they produced vehicles like this! Thanks! :) Jack

Hey, Gene! This vehicle certainly is a reminder of what BASIC means! All those things you mention and we've become used to certainly show the evolution of vehicles. This very basic vehicle is very well matched to its off road duties...they didn't skimp on that. Now that passenger visor...I'd have included that in the base price! LOL! Thanks! :) Jack

Wow Jack, That's a real beauty. I have a 51' but it's more than ruff. It was used by a logging company for most of it's life so the big ole fenders are toasted. I bought a L134 off my brother, only to find out the frame was shot too. The 51' has a little gangster back window and smaller gauges in the dash with a purdy chrome surround. This makes me want to drag the old girl out of woods and bust out the tube bender! Thanks, Carson

Hey, Carson! I'm glad the video serves as an inspiration! Nice that you have the basic stuff there...just a matter of time, energy and money! Thanks! :) Jack

I think you're right...the ultimate in originality and in being detailed to perfection! Perhaps the owner could have displayed a picture of a mud bog to put next to the vehicle...I'm sure that's the closest this one would ever come to mud! LOL! Thanks! :D Jack

One tough looking pickup. With those twin winches this one could go just about any where, but I don't think the owner would want to get this one dirty.

Hey, Kiel! Those trigger door handles could be a mess when you had freezing rain! LOL! It's funny how the center speedometer made a comeback with the new Mini made by BMW. As they say, nothing is really new! Also, no arguments as to what radio station is being played...the driver is in control! :D Thanks! :D Jack

Hey, Chester! Yeah, that's the ironic part of it...all dressed up for the party, and no party! :D Thanks! :D Jack

Looks totally original and probably the best detailed pick-up in the world. In order for it to really original I think it is missing one small detail, it needs a little mud on it. :P

Hey, Mark! You have to wonder why people make "snap" decisions about trading their cars, especially when someone has indicated an interest in that car! Logically, you'd think they'd contact you when they first thought of trading! I hope another like vehicle comes your way! Thanks! :) Jack

Hey, Byron! That could be...I saw some bizarre vehicles at Universal Studios, Orlando..I think they keep these "creations" around for some time, then they may just send them off to auction! Sorry, I don't have a facebook account... Thanks! :) Jack

Hey Jack! I'm having a hard time trying to see the controls for the power seats, and windows? Did you say it had cruise control and antilock disc brakes and on the fly 4 wheel drive? The deep pile carpet makes the acoustics for 7.1 channel Bose system with DVD playback. I lost count at how many airbags you said this had. Yup, she's a real beauty! ;)

I didn't know about Kaiser owning the Jeep brand but AMC owned it when Chrysler bought the brand name.
@coolrides

Hey, George! Yes, it was Henry J. Kaiser's better move to acquire Willys as the Kaiser/Frazer/Henry J lines were fading. Thanks! :) Jack
