Your dad was so cool to show me the car and started it up for me last summer. I was blown away on how mean it sounded. I lost my dad this morning and this video really cheered me up. Thank you
My condolences to you and your family ❤️ 🙏 Showed dad your comment, sends his condolences as well. He’s also wondering where you guys were when he fired it up for you?
🔔😎🇺🇸 Excellent!!! Really enjoyed your videos. Ive done Fairlanes and Falcons. My personal car of 34 years is a 63 Fairlane. Rust free southern car. Much of my build parallels yours. Previously Ive made a few build comments. I hope to see more followups.👍 😎
Good job Mike. Making memories with Dad. Those are the best ones. Cherish all of them. I never had a dad to make those memories with. And wish I would have. Have fun on power tour.
This was a fun watch! I think the fairlanes are some of my favorite fords, although I'm a bit Biased because I have a 69 Torino, but even the earlier fairlanes are just such unique cars, the 64 especially has that dual headlight chromed front grill with the Galaxie style rear taillights, and then the body lines on the cars are just unique, they really set the fairlanes apart from the rest of ford's cars. You definitely have a gem there, Will Pyle has a red 64 Fairlane 500 that he's restoring, I'm enjoying that series as well! Looking forward to what comes next!
Great set of videos. Great to see the old Fairlane out on a successful first drive. Trust you had a great time on Power Tour. Look forward to more. Be safe and stay well.
So Canadian clean screws aren't just a myth....hahaha. Great sound at least through the camera. My preference for older cars has always been to go a little on the loud side. Drowns out some of the wind noise and quirky squeaks.
Lol when the peanut gallery was back there off camera yelling out all the things the car still needed 😂 MAN that sounds good! Love this car overall. Thanks as always for the awesome content and inspiration 🤘🤘🤘
He’s like the voice in the back of my head, always reminding me of the things left to do 😅😂😂😂 Thank you, she’s got some attitude to her! Thank you for following along as always, greatly appreciated
Well done! Did your speedo cable hook right up to the T5 and was it accurate? I'm hoping to have the T5 in my '64 this spring and wondering what that bridge is going to be like when I come to it.
Thank you, yes slides right in. Gear was pretty accurate, think it was 3-5 mph off which isn’t a big enough difference for me to switch it out. There’s some modifications needed to make it fit (cutting the floor, moving the crossmember slightly back, and lowering it a touch (I’ve shown most of it in a past episodes).
It sounds good but I wonder how tired you got with it on the hiway. It sounds like it would drone at certain speeds. Are you going to replace the floor eventually?
I’m looking for a steering column for my 64. I’m installing a 04 cobra rack in mine. Im looking for a steering column for it, how did you like the ididit column? Do you have a part number for the one you used?
Here’s the link to the video when I installed it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FjUSuOrD3XY.htmlsi=azPlzNgDshmi0BCP It’s a 65 Comet column, they offer custom columns if you reach out and fill out your measurements needed.
MSD plug wires are way over-priced. The Ford Racing cut-to-fit wires are half the price and work just as well. Besides that, they say "Ford Racing" on them. :)
