This is our Cadillac LS Swap kit for 1965-1966 Models. Also in this video is how to install our -Ls Oil Pan -Pickup Tube -Headers -Shift Linkage -Trans Cover
Thank you for the video! You guys make it look easy! Once i get my floor pans and body work done on my 63 caddy I will be ordering the LS swap kit from you guys!
Haven't installed my setup yet, only trial fit.. but I can vouch for the quality of this kit- it is top notch and well done. This video answers any questions you might have about the fitment and alignment of the mounts.
@@DeviousCustoms I saw that you updated the cross member, were there any changes to the motor mounts? How would I know which version of cross member I have?
@@jerryzkids crossmember is all the same points just made different for manufacturing. We simplified the motor mounts. Everything is pretty much the same.
@@lawjo1978 excellent question. Our kit is designed for the 4l60 so you don’t have to cut the floor. I tell everyone build the 4l60 so it’s rock solid. If you use the 80 you will have to cut the tunnel and do Sheetmetal work.
@@DeviousCustoms I don't have an issue cutting the floor and doing the necessary modifications on my car. I plan to lay frame on the old girl. I'm interested in trying out a mounting kit if it can be bought that way.
I'd love to see how you guys ran the exhaust around the steering on the driver side. I've got a small block in mine with similar block hugger headers, and the pipe routing is driving me crazy. I keep looking for a set of rear exit headers, but everything I'm finding would hit the steering box.
Typically gm mated the 6.0 with the 4l70 or 4l80 to handle the extra torque so im curious to know if you guys have had any tranny issues with this build? Was thinking about doing this kit in my 66 coupe but was wondering if it's a reliable engine/tranny combo.
Very tight. We use two 2.5 tight radios exhaust u bends to get the exhaust out. Oil filter relocation we go up the frame rail to in front of the motor.
I ordered one of these kits but the transmission crossmember did not fit must be why they made a new design unfortunate for the people that bought the first gen kit.
We changed the crossmember for ease of exhaust and cheaper to manufacture. How ever if you purchased a kit we would be happy to upgraded you to the new crossmember. Please give u a call during business hours and we will get you hooked up.
