Cheers for listing the polish and methods you use. I saw a comment in part 1 asking the same so glad to see you mentioned it here! I have a cloudy tele in need of a good cut and polish so now I have a good starting point.

You’re welcome. With the Tele try starting with the cutting polish, this might take it out without having to do any sanding. The less you take of the better. You can always come back to sanding if it’s not enough. 👍

Louisiana is Humid AF too bro. Looking good! Awesome you found a guitar like your Dad’s. I have my Dad’s old Harmony acoustic, I plan on on getting it back up to playing condition soon.

It makes it tricky if you don’t have a spray booth that’s for sure. I wish I could buy his actual guitar, the sad thing is I know where it is but unfortunately the person won’t sell it back to me. Great you have your Dads one, I like guitars with stories to tell. 👍🤘🏼

@@GuitarRx yea mine is a hero 7. More often than not the quality is pretty crappy. I have 3 Sony cameras. All pretty old now, the main is an A7III and the other two are an A6500 and A6300. I set them up to have the same profiles but they still need a bit of tweaking depending on the lens’s. it’s a pain managing them all especially with batteries, and remembering to turn them on. 🤣

I love these videos. Hope you never run out of marketplace finds! What kind of heat treatment did you do?
@RisingSunGuitarMods
@RisingSunGuitarMods 5 месяцев назад
Hahaha yeah me too, it's getting harder to find a good deal though. I started with steam but that was a little rough on the finish so I used my heat gun and heated as much of the fingerboard as I could. The idea is to soften the glue between the fingerboard and neck, when it cools it hardens again and everything should settle into its new position. It took a few attempts and about a week in the clamps, that's is why this video was a bit late.
@MrJokun1
@MrJokun1 5 месяцев назад
@@RisingSunGuitarMods Yeah, I figured it was probably a heat gun or clothing iron. Having little experience with this type of work, I kind of assumed the heat gun would damage the finish, but apparently everything worked out great.
@RisingSunGuitarMods
@RisingSunGuitarMods 5 месяцев назад
@@MrJokun1 just got to take your time. Heat it up slowly. Too much heat all at once and you will definitely bake the crap out of the finish. 👍

@@RisingSunGuitarMods. I did a similar thing where I clamped the neck between a straight piece of hardwood and an aluminium rectangular section tube. I left enough space between each clamp and rested a clothes iron on the aluminium section. I moved it at regular intervals and kept checking the neck. I did this four times over a period of a month and then left it clamped up for another month. Major success
