@@derzocker9428 do you think world cup is a farmer league? Also if you think that why did he win the ballon d'or? Anyway this word "overrated" is going insanely shit, everything is overrated for some kids, you're one of them apparently, and you know nothing about football
Just amazing to see pele play , didn't know he played so deep like a attacking midfielder i though he was like a 9 to get so many goal, but he was involved in so many things during the game , and so young in the video and so mature
@@louistan5618 you don't play football, busquets use the same passing technique, the defender didn't expect that pass,he caught him by surprise and didn't react fast enough, its all about the weight of the pass, dumbass
The dribbles are amazing. All of the Brazilians players dribbled beautifully at that time. These days we don't get to see such magnificent dribbles very often only passes.
Yeah Ronaldinho was the last one who was able to play with such flair at the highest level... These days all the defenders are just too quick and athletic so attackers can't dribble as freely anymore
Todays soccer coaches dont let players do these things. They only follow the boring european systems. Sad, but thats how it is nowadays. A boring game. Thats why I lost lots of interest in it.
Only through such footage does a picture of how complete a player Pele was, emerge. He completely ran this match..an international against one of the strongest footballing nations of the time; in the same manner he ran Santos games in the same period. No difference. Extraordinary.
Did you notice: In this game, he plays as deeply as Busquets, Pirlo and Xabi Alonso. In this game, he plays as a ball distributor like Paul Scholes. In this game, he plays like Messi: creates space, eliminates defences and launches a through ball. Incredible, unbelievable. Really great
perfectionwise messi is still ahead bro.. Don't get me wrong , I admire pele, but within short clip I can see that those were the days of orthodox football, defensively there were less complex tactics. It was all about Individual brilliance. Now it's all about team effort.
giving idiotic logic started...Pele only influenced ONE WC Okay? Not even the best player in WC So STOP giving that idiotic logic. Judging players based on no. of trophies, or even club trophies (Team effort) is USELESS. See the quality and you will get it.
@@preetammukherjee623 only 1 WC? You're ignorant and need to study more little kid. Pelé helped his team win in all 3 WC 1958, 1962 and 1970. He hot injured in 1962 but scored and won games for his team prior getting injured. Scored more than 1,000 goals. Considered the 🐐 by a lot of professional football players including German legend Franz Beckenbauer.
This Pele was already a year past his prime but still world class and the best in the world! The way he beats player with his skill and the way he thinks and knows when to pass the ball and where to move makes him the best ever!
Pelé had other prime time in 1970, a better prime. A mature 29 year-old Pele, different and better player, more mental and more tactic, more effective than the one of 1964.
The best three minutes of the History of the football in the begining at the match, but in world cup in Sweden 1958. Not this one, but I Will remember anyway the other match. Sorry, I am commenting not the game of this footage. The opening three minutes of that match in 1958 are known as the most incredible three minutes in football history. This is a famous phrase created by none other than Gabriel Hablot, one of the creators of the Champions League, to define the most incredible 3 minutes in the history of football that he had witnessed. This happened in the match between Brazil and the former Soviet Union (it was the most feared team, known for scientific, superhuman football, the super favorite team), for the 1958 World Cup. Pelé and Garrincha played together side by side for the first time. The match started, and Garrincha dribbled Kuznetsov. Then he dribbled over Kuznetsov again. And again, and again, and again. Garrincha dribbled past other Soviet defenders as well, but that day, he especially dribbled around Kuznetsov. And just in the first 38 seconds (yes, seconds), he dribbled around Kuznetsov several times. Eventually, he got tired of dribbling Kuznetsov and got his foot on Yashin's bar. Seventeen seconds later, Pele hit the crossbar. Brazil stayed on top of the Soviet Union until Didi found the pass for Vavá to score, in the third minute. The greatest three minutes in football history. It happened in Sweden world cup in 1958. This friendly game in 1965 reminded me the other brilhant one in 1958. Thanks for the alert in comments.
That was another match, not this one. That match you mentioned was held during the World Cup in Sweeden. The match in this footage happened in 1965, in Maracanã.
Garrincha was underrated sadly he did not get much credit in the 1962 word cup final pele was injured in the semi but played beautifully unfortunately he couldn’t work with garrincha in the final but him didi and garrinch are the greatest and underrated trio in football history just wow legend RIP garrincha and didi we love you and get we soon pele legend
If this match happend today, imagine, how many card can referee Will give to every player for their hard tackle. this show us that classic footballer more have good and strong physical body
Nonsense. Most of those tackles were clean, into the ball - not a single player was injured. Today's tackles are extremely dirty, trying to injure the opponent. What happened to Fati? How Atletico Madrid plays? How many good technical players have been lost lately?
For sure he is the greatest of all time, but having said that, when he was young he was too much of a ball hog. Much like Garrincha and Maradona, but still the one thing you can say they didn't have.
@@VelhaGuardaTricolor Not only to me. A guy who played somewhere in the jungle in times when football was in diapers? Yeah, sure 😂😂🤣😹 Even Brazilians don't consider him the greatest Brazilian of all time. That should help. 😉🥳🥳

@@mcdafold I don't think so. 36 y/o in a goalkeeper is different. He was 3 years away from ballon d'or and the next year would be his best ever world cup, reaching semifinals in England 1966
@@alfredodistefanolaulhe2212 hahhaha Di Stefano ganhou 3 copas do mundo ?
I remember seeing Pele play vs. Vancouver Whitecaps at old Empire Stadium in the late 70's. Pele was well past his prime playing on tragic artificial turf that did not fit his status. I don't remember his game that night but I do remember his presence of just being in my hometown - it was awesome!
@@ThunderPlayersRaios Pelé was more of an inside forward (Second striker) he used to play behind the number 9 and often dropped deep to help both the midfield and attack. So he was responsible for scoring and creating.
I don't know why but black and white football footage is always more clear than the 1980s colored football footage. in the retro styled colored ones the players are harder to see and you can't see the outline of their body. But in the black and white you can clearly see each player and the outline of their body.
Some of the Brazilians reappeared in Mexico 70 with enormous success: Gerson, Jairzinho, Pele. One of the best teams ever and World Champions . (I did not understand the narration, but I would guess is Hungarian)
Long live to the king. -Cesar Luis Menotti: "The best of all was Pele, who is a mixture of Di Stefano, Maradona, Cruyff and Leo Messi." -Franz Beckenbauer: "Pele is the greatest player of all time. He reigned supreme for 20 years. All the others - Diego Maradona, Johan Cruyff, Michel Platini - rank beneath him. There's no one to compare with Pele." -Cristiano Ronaldo: "Pele is the greatest player in football history, and there would only be one Pele in the world." -Johan Cruyff: "Pele was the only footballer who surpassed the boundaries of logic." -Osvaldo Ardiles: Pele really had everything -- goalscoring ability, a great passer, good in the air, quick, he used both feet, almost the perfect footballer. Many words have been written about Pele but his record speaks for itself --more than 1,000 goals and three World Cup victories. He also played at a time when attacking players were not protected by referees as much as they are today. -Gianni Rivera: "However, I do think there's someone who was even better(than Messi) and that's Pele. He used both feet on the pitch. He was as dangerous with his right as he was with his left. He was strong in the air as well, and created a lot of chances." -Antonio Rattin: "Pele is better than Maradona" -Eusebio: "Pele played in an era which had so many great players and in that atmosphere he stood out above the others. He was the complete player in every aspect as well as being a kind human being. Cristiano Ronaldo is young yet, and has many years ahead of himself. But as of now, I do not see anyone who can compare with Pele" -Bobby Moore: "Pele was the most complete player I've ever seen, he had everything. Two good feet. Magic in the air. Quick. Powerful. Could beat people with skill. Could outrun people. Only 5ft 8in tall, yet he seemed a giant of an athlete on the pitch. Perfect balance and impossible vision. He was the greatest because he could do anything and everything on a football pitch. I remember Saldhana the coach being asked by a Brazilian journalist who was the best goalkeeper in his squad. He said Pele. The man could play in any position." -Ferenc Puskas: "The greatest player in history was Di Stefano. I refuse to classify Pele as a player. He was above that." -Sir Alex Ferguson: "Question: Best player you ever saw? -AF: Pelé, di Stefano, Maradona, Cruyff. -Q:In that order? -AF: Yes, I think so." -Romario: "Messi has all the conditions to be the best, but first he has to beat Maradona, Romario and then eventually Pele." -Costa Pereira: "I arrived hoping to stop a great man, but I went away convinced I had been undone by someone who was not born on the same planet as the rest of us." -Michel Platini: "There's Pele the man, and then Pele the player. And to play like Pele is to play like God." -Alfredo Di Stefano: "The best player ever? Pele. Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are both great players with specific qualities, but Pele was better." -Sir Bobby Charlton: "I sometimes feel as though football was invented for this magical player." -Tostao: "Pele was the greatest -- he was simply flawless. And off the pitch he is always smiling and upbeat. You never see him bad-tempered. He loves being Pele." -Zico: "This debate about the player of the century is absurd. There's only one possible answer: Pele. He's the greatest player of all time, and by some distance I might add." -Tarcisio Burgnich: "Before the match, I told myself that Pele was just flesh and bones like the rest of us. Later I realised I'd been wrong." -Cesar Luis Menotti: "It's ugly to compare but the greatest was Pele. If we believe that God made man, the "black" Pelé he made him perfect. He gave him everything. He lacked nothing, header, physical power, dribbling, finishing, inspiration, genius, temper, vision, goal. Everything."¨ -Hugo Gatti: "Pelé had the skin of a player, head, pace, everything. He was a panther dressed in white, I played with him. He entered to play in the last minute and he could turn the match. And the big difference is that Pelé on the field created fear, Maradona not...For me, it is Pelé, Alfredo Di Stefano and Maradona, in that order. I appreciate Diego, he is a great player. But from another planet was Pelé, not him." -Teófilo Cubillas: "I confronted him several times on the pitch and I think there will be noone like him." -Mario Zagallo: "Pele represented everything in soccer because of what he has done on the pitch." -Geoffrey Green: "Di Stefano was manufactured on earth, Pele was made in heaven."

In this match Gerson scored the first goal with a right foot kick from outside the box. One of the Soviet goals was rather weird ( not picked by any camera I know)since the Brazilian GK Manga kicked the ball against a Soviet player and it got into the net.
Yashin is in heaven still searching for that ball 🤣 Talking serious now: Pelé is very ill nowadays. Terminal cancer in intestine. It seems to have affected kidneys and heart as well.😢
