Oh...it’s still super “fun” opening packs. This year I got super lucky and pullled an Ohtani auto Bowman Chrome rookie auto, and sold it for $8K. My family had a TON of “FUN” on our vacation this year from it!
That's a total bummer. That's the main reason I am afraid to spend big $$ on vintage packs. With today's technology most packs can be opened, searched and resealed.
These type dudes are the reason I stopped going to card shops and shows. Seems like every single one is owned/operated by these greasy, creepy 50 somethings with the mind/attitude of a 13 year old. I’m sorry to rag on your video. But it’s true.
You cant trust grading companies either, it seems to bring out alot of counterfeits. Ive pondered if big companies even like PSA is grading fakes at times.
Just like coins these hobbies were killed by grading greed and overproduction,I sure miss when I was a kid collecting, and don't forget these shops on ebay cherry picking everything and passing it off as unsearched.
This video seems to have more people defending the legitimacy of the pack than hardly any other breaks that produce commons. Ironic considering it's something GAI graded from a random ebay seller (meaning that you're lucky you even got commons without bicycle spoke holes)
Just because you get commons doesn't always have to imply that the pack was searched. It just simply means that the pack sucked. Have you never gotten a pack of commons before?
Dude...never ask,” How much did you pay for this pack?” after you rip a 1965 cello and pull commons. That’s like saying,” Hey! Don’t roll a 7!” when at the Craps table in Vegas!
Gates Brown was a good ball player. Just because you did not get any other stars or hall-of-famers does not mean the pack was searched. The fact that the pack was graded and that you had a difficult time finding a place to cut the pack open indicates that the pack was more than likely legitimate.
unfortunately your right and if u buy something today like autographs or some hot packs come out someone will buy everyone in a 100 mile radius of you and you cant get any or little kids cant and that's what ruins hobby too , at least let kids get to see or buy some the older people had there chance let kids do it to it's the future of the hobby and your not a greedy jerk
Was gonna sell it, but decided to open it on RU-vid.......just in case. I thought 1st series might have a Morgan rookie or maybe a League Leader card. Also opened a 59 cello and scored an Ernie Banks. Sold two 67 cello packs and flipped a 64 Red cello pack for a huge profit.
call me a new- bie but what is the big deal about great card quality commons even if there tens. dont know how many people are buying mid 60s to mid 70s commons?
I don't trust anything that wasn't around during the 80s and 90s. Where did all these vintage unopened cards come from. With all the tech out today everything can be reproduced. How much money did you waste on this being graded and all?
Charles Messina lol it was graded which means a professional is putting their reputation on the line that they though it was real, busting the non graded Christmas packs from eBay is another story though.
So because you didn’t get a Morgan RC or another HOF’er, you think it’s searched? Doubtful. This is why unopened vintage ceases to be special when you open it.
both arms look like they're from the movie Planet of the Apes and with spending all this money on these vintage cards you guys should spend a few dollars on some decent scissors and razor knife otherwise two thumbs up for the video
@david mcintire tell that to a guy that pulled an Mantle out of a 55 Bowman pack. Ended up being graded PSA 9. The pack, strangely enough, was only f Graded PSA 7
