Actually the weather was a lot better than expected.......... the Poles brought their Std. Class Foka 4's instead of their much higher performing Zefir's in the Open Class as they were expecting lots of cloud flying and the Foka was more suitable for this - in the end they did very little cloud flying but still won the Open Class-the only time a Std Class ships as won Open Class. This was mainly due to their ''team flying' which was far superior to any other nations at the time.
