Gorgeous 66. That interior is sick man. Remove your shoes before getting in lol. I know the wheel/tires today are popular but IMO a classic car should have classic wheels. I remember a friend of mine bought a new 66 SS. A few months later I bought my Nova SS. Muscle cars back then were selling like hot cakes, Chevelles, 442's, Nova SS, GTOs, Mustangs. Great time in my life.
I agree but with that engine and horse power you need more tread on the road. I have that same problem and have been looking at some modern rally wheels for my camaro. Cheers!

A 66 Chevelle SS was the first car my wife and I bought after we got married in 88. We bought it in early 89 for $1300.00. It had a small block and a four speed. Sold it and got a couple 67 Chevy II's. Sold them and bought an original 69 Firebird. Life happened so we sold it. I wish I had known then what I know now. Oh well. I'm going back to bed. Lol. '66 is my favorite Chevelle from the '60's, and that one is maybe the nicest I'v seen. '66 was also my favorite year for GTO and 442. That year, when I was 12, my neighbor had a white '66 SS 4 speed,, my bother-in-law had a new dark green 442 4 speed, and a neighbor's brother had a new red GTO 4 speed. My road was covered with black marks from burnout competition.

Nice looking car! Love the red and back gut and paint job. I would run 8.50 × 14 tires on 5 spoke mag wheels on the rear and standards on mags up front. Very clean car! I was going to do a 62 Impala ragtop with the same interior and paint the car black. Then, I got an offer from a well known Chevy restorer that I couldn't turn down. They did restos for noted people on both coasts and everywhere in between. The car wasn't just a roller. It was a running, complete and original car with hub caps, trim decals and a numbers matching 283 cu in motor and aluminum Powerglide trans. The car even had the original washer bottle under the hood and it was a native New Mexico car that never left the desert.....best dry storage possible.
