Nice rare car. You can get anything restored to perfection if you have the Money. Also don't be afraid to replate the original screws and bolts as well. Im at 80 percent complete on a 65 Rambler American Convert Conquers quality restoration. No expense spared. Twin Buckets with center console. Every nut and bolt, screws replated the correct patina. Im looking for one of these in Blue to restore. I even had the mufler pipe re-ceramic coated like they did in the 60s. really like your car. nice job!!
The 343cubic inch V8 seems plenty powerful with either a 2 barrel or 4 barrel carburetor. Dual exhausts or a great performance enhancer. Also for even more performance with these engines you can get the optional shorter( higher numerically) final drive ratios.
Hello nice 67 I have a 1967 Rebel Convertible myself. It was a 290 car also. I am converting it to a 401 and a 727 transmission. Color is white with a two tone blue interior. However I am changing that to black. Donald Koller
I always thought the 67 AMC Rebel, all models, was probably the best styled AMC car ever. I remember at the time I thought the Rebel especially the wagons had an Oldsmobile look. It looked like something General Motors would offer and was competive with the other makes on the market stylewise. A real quality look. AMC should have tried to attain the quality of GM cars in fit and finish and interiors. And then there were the regional wagons that were offered. It was too bad poor subsequent annual style updates ruined the look of the car.
