This is super simple to do. The only down fall is that it is only 72v and 50ah. Which is not much. I have a feeling this is not to be used all the time. If someone wanted to use it all the time then stripping out the weight and adding lithium only batteries would make it far better. Not sure the top speed on this would be. Yet there are cheap options out there. A super light weight car could be used and you could have a nice electric car.
Both Jerry's and CC's Jeep electric conversions looks really awesome, The difference is CC's conversion is very simple and Jerry's conversion is more proper. Either way, i love both.
Of all the possibilities that Jeep imagined when it was captured by the Vietcong, converting it into a military golf cart sure wasn't one of them. Congratulations, superb and super simple conversion, Tesla must hate you and rightly so, haha!
Always double precautions if you're a newbie. Wear electrical protective suits. This high voltage can easily kill you if you are performing just trial and error method.
meu amigo voce não tem limites para as suas invensoes,so falta fazer um CAMINHÃO elétrico não me cansei de ver os seus videos,e suas, engenharias parabens❤❤❤❤❤😅😅😅😅😅😅
u can add modefied alternator that gives a charge of 80v from propeller shaft attachment when running it gives charge to battery..i enjoy ur video and i smiled when u test the vintage car around to town..what a creative ideas!
Muy ecológico al reciclar . De esta manera se le da una segunda vida a los vehículos. Muy buen trabajo. Gracias por compartir tus proyectos!!! Saludos 🇦🇷
Great job , I'm just guessing you used what you had at the time to pull this off . Imagine what you could do with an even bigger motor and a battery pack from a wrecked ev . Yes people this dude just basically showed you what he could do with limited resources, now you got the idea go ahead an make your own even better if you are lucky enough to have better parts or the $"s to improve on this great little conversion . Well done old mate good on you for having a go.
oh youre so cool, and such and original project yay! yay ! yay ! a big tough jeep too, wow ! and the best part is you are bowing for, and complying with everybody, and saving the rest of us, what a total true hero ! yay yay YAY! happy jeeping !!!!!
Would be hard to keep the clutch. But since it's a electric motor it is easy to rev match your gears to shift and the electric motor can't stall like a gas engine so really no need for a clutch as long as you can rev match your speed to the gear your trying to use.
Would depend on the load/weight with one person and groceries probably about 100 miles at least, also if you replace the lead acid batteries (cheap!) with more energy dense lithium batteries more recharges and 50-60% more range.
Your talent effort eguinity and patient makes your projects becomes inspiring for us to be like yours..." someone says " if you ca'nt not do it it will not be done" man thanks to you and regards to your happy family.
This was both enjoyable and sad to watch. I have never, personally, seen a better specimen of a mid 60's military jeep before. I'm fairly certain it would have sold for a pretty penny here in the U.S. It was a cool conversion though.. but still, such a nice jeep.
*Hey friends always remember that successful people maintain a positive focus in life no matter what is going on around them. They stay focused on their past successes rather than their past failures, and on the next action steps they need to take to get them closer to the fulfillment of their goals rather than all the other distractions that life presents to them* Love from a small RU-vidr💓
Neat! I bet if you built a small box with some soundproofing foam inside or outside, you could really reduce that sound from the electric motor. Also, I would take the gas tank out and install more battery banks there as well increase your distance on one charge. Why do the decals say US Arny and USMC? Shouldn't it say just US Army?
@@erickortiz7617 because of lack of torque and lack of torque gonna push the motor to overheat or getting its coil burned and destroyed. That jeep need at least a 20kw of battery pack and a Curtis 1238-7601 HPEVS 96 Volt motor
Very nice build. 2 questions: 1: what is the range with the 40 Ah batteries? and 2: How long does the 10Ah pack last. (because that one you can use most of the energy - With the car batteries you cant) Thanks for sharing this very nice build! Luc
Un motor de imanes permanentes de 3000w y 72v puede consumir 40 o 50 Ah si trabaja con esfuerso si es un motor de 7500w y 72v el motor de imanes permanetes nececita 100 Ah. Deduce apartir de hay.
awesome this is what i am planning to my car when all the combustion system will be eliminated ,outstanding it should be a bigger power set up but its okey in your country the speed limit
for the 1 it's easy : electrical motor have no torque when he release the accelerator paddle it's like he have push the clutch paddle for the 2 and 3 i'm also curious, the paddle should be really hard to push
@@coolbiker6122 The video did not show altering original brake system. Only the gas engine replaced with electric motor+controls+battery. The original jeep brake system is in use. No regenerative braking. May be further design improvements may come in future. However the practical genius is appreciable.
@@bryanadams3353 pause between gears you can shift without clutch ....it makes sense but it will definitely lose torque every time you change gears... can this be covered by an electric motor that has a large torque?
