Memory is a tough thing going back forty plus years with an unmarked reel of film. With the help of some of the surviving surfers, we estimate the date of the film to be late 1968 or possibly early 1969, simply based on board selection. Terry Sterner was riding a Dewey Weber Strato Series, Mini Feather. According to research from the Surfing Heritage Foundation, these boards hit the market toward the end of 1968.
