This 1968 GMC Handivan came in with a few issues which we were able to fix by checking the timing, adjusting the points, and tuning the carborator. Fun little rig!

Remember working on those back in the day. Super cool little vans. Definitely a throwback vehicle for sure. Remember beating the hell out of the dog house trying to clearance for a BBC. Very light van with a big block was 'fun' to drive. Love the colour matching rims on the Cragars!! Nice work on the repairs. Sounds great. Be safe and stay well.

Cool van, nice tinker video, If you have any questions on it, you can ask me, I have a small collection of these van, On 64 thru 66 they was all 6cyl engine, 67 thru 70 a v8 was available, make sure you have the v8 doghouse thou, also all the vans up to 70 were drum brakes, 71 had disc, but there is a conversion kit for disc brakes, drum brake stuff is plentiful if needing parts, Just a note, 6 cylinder chevy didn't have a chain on timing, they were gear driven. Have fun with it, 😊

Guys, I had one of those little vans minus the shag as it had had it in it but a knife took it out. I tried to fit a small block in it and I would of had to cut so much out of the doghouse that I rethought it. I finally put a small turbo on it and it was night and day difference. Kept up with all the other rigs and did somewhat of a decent burnout with it... .those tires are so small but mine was posi so it needed that extra to get going. I got a good hundred percent improvement and it ran cooler as well down in Colorado. I would really think about turboing it for real

I like Curtis’s van. Interesting colour for sure. .010 makes for a nice long dwell time. But way too tight. Wonder if the points block wore out? Remember when contact kits came with a capsule of grease? Ahhh, those were the days! I replaced my plugs last week. Big improvement.
