I like the functionality of the vintage cars that Matchbox produced but by modern standards the functionality is no longer there but looks well. Disparos Moon never be made again! Plz reply

Some information on special issues of models included in the 1968-69 era gift sets. A red #56 Fiat was issued in the G-1 Service Station Sets instead of the turquoise blue, while the G-4 Race 'N' Rally set included FOUR variants. The tan #25 Ford Cortina and red #67 VW Fastback had plastic roof racks, #25 in yellow and #67 in brown. The two racing cars, #19 Lotus and #52 BRM, were included in their regular colors (green and blue) as well as alternate colors (orange and red). And you were correct in identifying the K-8 Car Transporter version shown in the catalog's artwork as unique. The aqua green cab with the yellow trailer is a legitimate but HTF version of that model. Again, a great look at this year's exceptional models that were introduced. By the end of 1968, I was fully into both Matchbox and Hot Wheels in just one year, so these are great memories!
Collected a few of the just mentioned 1968 models over the weekend at a toy show I now have three versions of the ISO original wheels and the thick and thin superfast all in different colour schemes aren't I a "lucky ducky"😊

As for me, I saw your Lego collection.after my girlfriend has picked on this Lego stuff, i now am building a village/ small town setting using Lego blocks. The base to supprt it looks to be about 50" by 30". It is basiclly a squeezed scale 1/64 setup. Itt is looking good so far!!
I'm gonna be building a LEGO model layout too, focusing on my 9V trains and giving them some love as a model train layout combining it with my other Lego city sets I have had all my life. I bought a huge and heavy 1970's dining table that can support a lot of weight at the thrift store, and then I plan to lay a big playwood board on top cut into 4ths like a board game, and have it on hinges so I can fold it up and store it away when I need to move something. I plan to screw down the road plates and baseplates to the plywood surface so they will fold up with the hinged sections cleanly. Then have the train tracks running along the outside and maybe an inner cross track I think it will come out really nice. Just have to do a lot of cleanup first lol.
@MrWolfSnack sounds like fun. Good luck with the project. For me, I am going to paint a piece of plywood black. The building sections will remain loose. Basically, the areas not covered becone road. The plywood will be cut into sections, allowing sections of the village to be taken out as needed to allow different areas of the village to be photographed. The buildings themselves can then be used as background material as needed for whatever idea I have for a picture. I feel Lego can be an overlooked building material. It gives a great way to make cost-effective structures.
@@steverobsondiecast Nice! Yeah it can, especially if you get creative with how you use it. I've seen people melt and reshape the plastic to make different kinds of support structures and walls and stuff. You can;t even tell it's lego after they paint over it.
The red girders clip together to make that structure in the catalog Like the pipes do on pipe truck i. What a shame you only have those crappy crappy Iso Griffos... Can you imagine if like a mint one just showed up out of nowhere in a day or to ...😂 The car cases ..most of them were made by a company called Tara ..some cases say it ...an were made in good ol NJ USA 😁 Pretty sure there still around but now made in china of course.

7:19 these hay wagons are common to find with no tires left even in mint condition because people buy them to cannibalize the wheels to fix their other cars since they are so cheap mint. People make repop wheels now though so no need to do that anymore.
