To support my efforts to create more clips please donate to me at www.patreon.com/allinaday. She was a part of the Puerto Rican political party/gang in New York City called the Young Lords. I knew some of them when I made my documentary film at Sing Sing prison. They were articulate and smart and passionate. I don't know what happened to most of these folks I met, including this woman.

Many of the Young Lords went on to become successful business people and they were represented by Geraldo Rivera before he was a sell-out. Felipe Luciano became a news reporter. Many fail to realize that children get breakfast in school because of the Young Lords

Are you familiar with any of them? Back in 1971-72 I made a documentary at Sing Sing prison with BB King that I could not have made without their help. Especially five guys including Miguel Pinero and Tony Pabon. I know that Pinero has passed on but I never could find the other guys. By chance can you help? My email address is allinaday@aol.com. Harlem was Black and Italian, Life was good, Blacks and Italians lived together worked togetehr and had businesses. Puerto Ricans moved in degentryfied the area, low income, low skill and low educated folks mass migrated ,they built projects to accomadate and changed Harlem forever. Little Italy was Harlem. Middle class African Americans were Harlem When Ricans moved in they were not stewards of the area just like they dont or cant take care of their own Island. Maybe it was colonial rule under the Spanish crown for so many years that they do not know how to govern themselves
