That is a Super Beetle model. Calling it a bug is just slang. The regular Beetle has many differences but the main ones are length, width and a much larger trunk that has room for the tire and extra space.
Back in the day, I worked three consecutive summers, while home from college, at Marowelli VW in Hillsdale, Michigan...of course I owned three transporters and 'bugs' galore, but never a Karmann Ghia...dunno why? Peace from a retired hippie!
Someone was going for that classic old beetle look with the little taillights. The smaller headlights give it away that it's newer but the eyelids on the headlights are cool 😎
Great outcome and I like the classic look. I also appreciate all the prep work that is impossible to capture in an eighteen minute video. Keeping smiling, this is a win.
Guys, I have an idea to increase your viewership. Lawn care juggernaut is the example I think you should follow. What I mean is regularly as a feature I think you guys should help restore a vehicle in the upstate for a deserving person in need
I missed this yesterday so a good catch up. Very nice paint job Ivan. I did give you instructions on removing the screen in a previous comment section on this Beetle. Me being 'old school' it is something I have done more than once. Thanks again Brothers for yet another good video. 👍👍
The pressure washer was really easy to install . Everything but the cement drill came with it . Ivan even washed his Dog with it . SCRUBS say NIKO BROS OTAY | PS the reel rolls back up by it self so they don't run over the hose .
My suggestion would be to remove the front windsheild so you can check and see if there is any rust in the window channel where rubber seal goes the windsheild?🤔
That must have originated in a western state, Ca., Arizona, etc. No rust at all, not even in the fasteners that hold the fenders on. That was a wise buy. You can fix damage, but you can never make them rust free again.
It looks good guys I like it and would have it in a NY split second I like VOLKSWAGENS any way my DAD had a 1967 Beetle I like that Car to pieces wish I still had it you all would most likely love that Car Ivan in particular it was RED I'm sure you have seen the RED I'm talking about on Beetles running your area but any way guys keep up the great work on that VOLKSWAGEN
Wish I could turn wrenches that fast when removing parts from my car.. lmao 😂😂😂You guys should put blue flames down the side to give it a nice contrast and different look than just a plain white bug...
Always loved to watch your channel. Its really nice show. Am so excited to see the beetle back on road. I have a question that will you guys keep that sticker's back on beetle or just leave it as it is.
I just caught your channel recently because I had a '68 Bug. Been watching since you've brought your Bug home and enjoyed the restoration. Your Bug seems to have early 60's VW features that differ from what my '68 had. Was the one you've picked up was customized with earlier Bug parts? In '68 there were noticeable changes; the taillights were larger, the bumpers were one piece with a blacked-out center strip and mine even had high-back bucket seats.
