Thanks for showing us the inside of the glove box and for showing us that the wipers work. Oh and for also showing you turn on the A/C and then showing the vent so we could see the Air coming out of the vent .That was my favorite part.

Classic "totally hidden wipers", a GM design (forever) patent; without those crappy wipers in your face, it really cleans up the look of the car Had a '70 Impala same design with the large S/S plate under the hood where the wiper blades rested. Super nice restoration.

I thought only the Caprice came with hideaways in '69 ? Not Impala

lots of Z24 cars were fitted with accessory hidden headlights by their owners. proof of a Z24 car is a 4D on the Fisher body plate or an original build sheet/sales invoice. All 1969 SS427s had 15" wheels and front disc brakes...

Pretty good looking car but there are several things that don't add up. Still for a daily driver that thing would be a blast!

What size tires all the way around? Did you have to mod the wheel wells?

I thought that only Caprice’s came with concealed headlights. If someone added them it looks great.

Hideaway headlights must have been an add on as they didn’t come from the factory with them. Only on Caprice models.

It's a Custom Impala Not Super Sport. It's a good make believe. It's probably a Caprice. W those Hideaway Headlights.

What is the name of color of paint job? Is that a patriot blue color?

Beautiful car man. I get confused sometimes with the rooflines on the 1969 Impala 2 door coupes. The 2 door models had two different rooflines available and this one is the more upright one with regards to the back of roof, or c-pillar. How did Chevrolet differentiate the two when customer was ordering an Impala 2 door? Was one called coupe and the other 'sport roof' or something, anyone out there know. And the 2 door Super Sport model for '69 was available in either roofline, correct?

Wrongo! hideaways are a Caprice only option. Vacuum controlled although you do have the correct vacuum canister in the correct position. Wrong center fabric on the seats. Dash badge should diplay SS also.

I'm pretty sure you didn't get the dual snorkel air cleaner until you hit the 425 horse motor.

Didn't Chevy make a 69' SS-T short bed pick up with a 396 and hide away head lights? Seems I remember seeing a couple when I was younger but none to be found on the internet. That Impala is beautiful.
