It’s great to see people keeping these old mopars alive, so many of them got chopped up and tore up drag racing, this color is timeless, I would buy a newer challenger with this color on it.
What a crazy thought to me. 22yo, from Germany. But those cars seem so extreme and raw, also very collectible of course, that it blows my mind when I think that I may have driven such a car for 5/6 years now.
@@elpepitofrancesOne of the biggest things people from Europe are surprised by when they come to the US is the size of it. My Home in Atlanta, Georgia is 2,200miles-3,540km from. Los Angeles. California. T 1:02 hey are almost a straightline east to west from each other.. I drove 30-45 minutes to high school. My point is we spend so much time in our cars they need to be larger and mean something different to us. It's common to drive 1 hr daily to work each way.
The prices for these cars must be high in Europe or anywhere outside the US. I'm fortunate enough to have a 66 383 727 Charger. There are still some good deals out there you just have to find them. I searched for 10 months before I found my Charger.
@@danpals7678 as a normal citizen you can't afford to buy something like that. Most of the ones sold are far too expensive or very cheap but in a very bad condition, and i am from Germany
Oh yeah.for me.its ok we have to address climate/&greed.but these works of art.are an rep.of what we can achieve when we cm together.(w/-Awareness too.!)would you agree (?)
I have a 66 383 727 Charger that I hardly ever drive but I do start her once a week and smoke a cigarette and just listen to that rumbling sound. It's better than music to me.
Currently working on restoring my grandpas 1969 coronet. It was a factory r/t convertible with the 440 that they bored 60 thousands over. Did 205mph with about 3 inches of pedal left and really want to see it do it again.
Nothing like Mopar car. My dad had a Challenger back in the 70's. The original black & orange 426 Hemi with a sixpack. He also had a Plymouth Fury with a 383. I bought a Dodge Challenger Hellcat 707 in 2016. I also have Dodge Charger 375hp. Kept it because they would not give me what it was worth as a trade. Yes l love a Mopar vehicle.
My dad painted cars for B. W. Blaushield years ago outside of Cleveland. He said when the guys drove thes cars into the showroom the whole place shook! What a memory! Mopar❤
My first real musclecar was just like this only mine was yellow and black interior.. I went to work in construction at age 16 in Manassas Va. and my older brother had just bought one just like this one only different color. He later sold it to me with just 13k miles on it. Of all the cool cars i ever owned (over a hundred musclecars) i mis my Coronet R/T the most. I think about it all the time, and i guess that's because of all the fun i had in it back in 69. I blew it up at 65k miles because at that age i was irresponsible about maintenence. Thanks for this video!
The only yt video of its kind where the owner doesnt use a cold idle speed that is far too low. And then they sit there stabbing the throtle to keep it from dying like a moron. Glad to see someone do it right.
I think what you're tryina get at is a cammed engine.. which usually sounds like that.. But yes some retards crank the idle down to nothing to make it sound cammed or whatever..
@@gary2281 😂👍🍻.. The beautiful music that this car's exhaust makes is the only music I would ever truly want!.. And talk about music to my ears!. LOL I always found it funny that when you put on the captions for such videos displaying the exhaust sound it always says "Music", I do believe that it is music in it's own right and I could listen to that "Song" all day lol!.
@@gary2281 Oh once you do it'll make your soul smile I promise you lol.. Have a wonderful rest of the week and again I hope that all is well with you and your family @Gary and do please take care of yourself out there alright?, Cheers 🍻!. 🙏🙏
We love oldschool!
Fantastic looking car. Can I ask what wheel size you are running (15" 245 front 265 rear?) I am looking at purchasing a Super Bee currently and think that this looks superb on steelies...
But you would look soooooo good losing. Then you get to drive elsewhere in that car while the winner is still driving away in a Honda...lol Give me that deep rumble any day over screeching and popping.
uh, that car is in a poor state of tune. a proper tuned car like this could run a 14 sec 1/4 mile. also, bring it into 2022, and it will run with new v8 cars.
The 440 on the car had nothing to do with the eng it was the trim package. My 68 came with a 6 cyl three on the tree changed that to a 74 400 cid with A/T lost sight of Speedo needle. A few times
You wanna piss away $80,000, go ahead - many of today's cars outrun yesterday's muscle cars - it's just progress. But, how many of these cars are left and they have no reason to stomp on it to impress us. If you don't like it, tough shit
I assumed it was...440s tend to be less temperamental and have much better driveability than Hemis. That and they could have A/C paired with them (Unless it was a Six Pack). I love them all and today, we have the same options in comparison - 5.7 is to the 383, 6.4 is to the 440 Magnum, 6.2 Hellcat is to the 440 Six Pack, and the 6.2 Redeye or Demon is to the 426 Hemi. Granted the engines today are much more powerful but I love how Mopar has given us many engine options with different power levels again.
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.:-((
