My 1st Harley was 1967 XLCH which looked exactly like the 69. Having a strong mag and place a rivit in the carb base to “tickle” the carb during cold starts helps a good deal. I had no problems with the carb.

I have a 1970 i cant believe how different they are just in one year. That bike is savage man congratulations and have fun.
