my dad had an old johnson when i was a kid. him and a friend brought it to northern minnesota and got a moose with it one year. we move to a lake when i was 3 and my dad brought Home the very first rectangular hood skidoo. i believe it was a 1970 335cc olympic. the johnson disappeared. i didn't realize they had electric start an reverse in those days awesome snowmobile. you really have a classic
I remember these! My uncle Everett had one. He was a diehard Johnson outboard man; so when sled time came you know what he chose! He bought it new in the late '60s and kept it until his passing in the late '70's. The industrial sounds made by yours bring back some very fond memories. Thanks very much for posting!
Quentin Raffensperger The seats aren't too bad. I have a 1970 Evinrude skeeter which is virtually the same as this one. These OMC snowmobiles have a bogie wheel suspension which handles the bumps very nicely compared to other snowmobiles of this era.
oh ok, interesting, I love the look of the Johnson & Evinrude, but even more so the MERC Twisters....not a big fan of the Mecury that were black...Hurricane I think??
