Great car. The first "roars" of the engine as you start it up inside the garage comes out sooo good.... like a lion roaring at night in a distance. Loved the 428 Cobra Jet too, excellent restoration.
Beautiful car. My first car, purchased in 1973 after years of saving was a 1970 Mach 1. Loved that car even though mine was just a 351W automatic. Sounds like this car is modded with headers, exhaust, cam and ?
Hi Dan, this car is completely matching numbers and I love to drive it. You are right: it has long tube headers and a 2.5" exhaust. The block and pistons are original standard. The heads are original with the 69 Shelby intake. I ported the heads and intake more than three times and tested it always on the dyno. The carburetor is the originally Ford Holley from this time (600 cfm). I believe with a 650 cfm carburetor it would be 5% more power. The cam is a Comp Cam 262. Original the 351W has 240 DIN PS (approx. 290 SAE PS). This engine has 306 DIN PS (means approx. 370 SEA PS). The rear end is a 3.25. If a drive smoothly to a car meeting it needs only 13 liters/100 km.
