Nice ride. Sold these cars when they were new. 400 V8, good power, maybe 15 mpg. Gasoline was $0.25 per gallon. The object when selling this car was to put it up against the Chevy Impala, its main competition. The perception back in the day was that Pontiac was a nicer car than Chevy. Pontiac owners perceived that they were getting more for their money. The top cars in each GM division were pretty much the same. That's where the salesman came in and turned a prospect into an owner.
