Love the car and the rebuild I’m learning more and more about these vintage drag cars to hopefully one day be able to build my own project!Cant wait to see more videos of this duster…
Awesome man, When you start and if you have any questions we will be happy to help. We sold this car unfortunately. Man we wish we would have hung on to it but we had so many projects going on that we had to let it go. Thanks for watching!!!
Darn DIY. Now my wife expects me to overhaul our car in 30 minutes! Great job on that Duster. Mine was SubLime Stock and it tore up the town. The one I still wish I had.
Hey Dean, I can't tell you how many memories this brings back. My wife was driving a '70 Challenger convertible, that had a 440 six-pack on it when she bought it from our ex-brother-in-law. She hated the mileage, so he put the OEM 383 back in, with a 2 BBL carb. My son currently drives a 2018 Challenger, with a Hemi. I still have my nephew's 72 [I think] Duster, with a 340, rotting in my yard. Its good to see you on RU-vid. It puts a face to the voice on the phone. I have a video posted, that has me, Ryan, and Jordan in it. [when Jordan was in our department, and when we were in the warehouse offices, about 6 or 7 years ago. I'll send you a link through your regular email. Keep your hands washed, or just keep working on your cars. Corona virus won't grow on grease! Jack Wolff
This is Lee, Glad you enjoyed it and when Dean comes in I will show him your comment. Stick around you may see me on a few videos coming up and let me know if your interested in selling the Duster, we don't mind a little rot...lol
I'm not a Mopar guy I've only had one car by Mopar to 70 Dodge Challenger RT always love them very expensive to build but when you're done they are beautiful
Great Job , good looking car and good running car , I had 72 Demon 340 4 speed 354 gears run real good on the street now got a 74 Barracuda 365 KB flat tops Eddie Al. heads old Hooker headers 2500 stall TCI converter TCI tranny 8 3/4 456s 28 in. 11.5 run 7.90 1/8th .
@@NSBCustomCars I sure would love to. It is such a beautiful original car. I have taken care of it so well. Factory small block car that was converted to the 426 Hemi right out of the factory , and it's never been on the road registered to drive. Drag car all of its life! So why is it setting there? Divorce was the beginning, then my health and I've been battling that for a long time. But at least it's in a beautiful clean well-kept garage. Completely out of the weather. I've owned a bunch of Mopars since the 70s.
Unfortunately we sold this car, and we wish we would have hung on to it. We had so many projects going on that we had to let a few go. Thanks for watching.
What a turn around!! The B5 is gorgeous too....what sort of time frame was this built in? Just curious, and what paint are you using on the underside? Look forward to watching more of your vids
Thanks for watching!!! This took us about 4 or 5 months to do. The car was in pretty good shape so that helped out a lot. We used a truck bed liner for the underside. We have used that on a couple of cars and it holds up really well dowm here in Florida.
We are not sure why it was changed unless it was a clearance issue. We think it was out of a Mustang, it was a custom job for sure... Thanks for watching!!!
Those 340s always punched above their weight class. My uncle had a dart swinger with a 340 in it. That car outran a few cars it had no business outrunning
@@NSBCustomCars Nice... I really love these Mopar A-Bodies. The last Old Timers race I was at in Ashcroft BC was like 67 68 69 70 Dart heaven. There were tons of them there. I like Darts lol
@@iijg27rich36 Did you check out our 68 Dart drag car. We do like our a-bodys!!! Would like to have have one for the street though. Thanks for watching!!!
Hi N.S.B. Custom Cars , I'm Contacting you in regards to information on a Dodge Dart 70s roller for sale. I'm Looking for a Big Block Drag roller in fair condition. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks . Duane Secrest . from Michigan.
We tried to find some info on this car when we bought it but had no luck. Thanks for watching and if you have any pictures I would love to see them. My email is nsbcustomcars@gmail.com.
@@NSBCustomCars My 67 Camaro with a 355 ran 9:95 @ 134 mph with a Powerglide, had ladder bars and stock front suspension. cast iron heads, Victor Jr. intake and a 750 Holly carb. 2800 lbs. All motor, on a 29.5 x10.5 tire.
@@NSBCustomCars good for you you should have some fun with that I love a body’s darts and barracudas l prefer demons over dusters but wouldn’t be picky come across something like that have fun stay safe
What a huge disappointment !!! All that and you didn't say what it ran !!! No details !!! Too half assed for me to enjoy !! Sorry !!! Long time bracket racer !! What transmission ??? What converter ??? How much compression ??? What camshaft hyd. solid - roller ??? What #s ??? Car weight ??? 60fts. - 1/8 mile times 1/4 mile times ??? Mph ??? Anything ??? The build was well done but the information was way to spotty !!! With all the details I would have interest in your channel but it was just too vague and frustrating as I was waiting for more that never came !!!
Thanks for watching and thanks for the input!! This was our very first video and all of the work had been done before we started this RU-vid thing. To be honest we didn't know to much about this car other than it was a 340 with 360 heads and a TCI 727. This car kind of just fell in our laps and we redid it and put it up for sale and it went quick so we didn't have time to run it too much. Best time we got was a 11.76 at 109 in a 1/4. Hopefully we are getting better and videos and we will try to be a little more informative in the future!!
@@NSBCustomCars Thanks for your reply ! Forgive me for being a little rough on you I shouldn't have jumped to a conclusion !! I had a Chevy small blk 73 Vega !!! Ran Atco Raceway NJ !! I like all strip cars no matter make and model and I'm unfortunately very picky for details !! I'm 60 now and have been out of it for about 15 years now but I never forgot every detail of a drag car !!!! I used to help the young novice guys with understanding proper applications and combinations and the best bang for your $$$ !! It turned me into a FREAKEN nut for the smallest of details of all hot rods !!! I hate power ladders turbos-super chargers and especially nitrous !!!! I call them ( excuse my language ) PUSSY POWER !!!!! All motor and ingenuity !!!! Deals and swap meets !! Smart not big money !!! I'm not a body guy or fabricated unless it's simple and small !!!! I'm very interested in your channel for what you did OLD SCHOOL style !!! Just like the details !!! You said 11.76 @ 109 ??? Why is the mph down if I may ask ??? I would think 114 - 115 ???
No worries man, We got thick skin and believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion and we are good with that. If everyone was the same this world be a very boring. P power!! HaHaHa I will have to use that one!!! As far as the Duster goes it was set up for 1/8 mile and even with that low gear she was having trouble cutting the wind and turning those big tires on the top end. Plus she was cutting out at about 6000 and we think that was a timing issue that we never got to work out. We are planning on building a 572 for that Dart as soon as we can find the time and money which has been on short supply as of late.
@@NSBCustomCars I'm a stickler for a good consistent drag car !!! What you built was a solid base which you can make into any thing you want to make her !!! Well done project !!!!!
