Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! RU-vid's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we take an up close and personal, in depth look at the super cool, Ford Torino King Cobra Prototype.
During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of RU-vid!

@Allyn Howell Pretty amazing huh? Especially considering that in 1970. the highest HP rated factory engine was the LS6 454 Chevy. And contrary to what you may believe, the weakness of the Boss 429 was the lack of torque. Google the 10 fastest cars of American muscle engines.

@Allyn Howell Hey stupid, the Boss 429 is a factory engine and a damned slow one at that. If you want to extend your stupid argument to non-factory engines. look no farther than Toyota's TRD offings. It worked, I hooked a fool on an unbaited hook. Sucker!! LMAO!

Excellent editing, narration, camera angles, etc. I loved the way that you had the sound of the car from the vantage point of all three cameras at once. Very, very well done. Subscribed ! Haven't really watched one of your in depth reviews lately, but gotta say nothing is really all that different and I like that! You show us the car, you explain the features, you dont try to give it an out of 10 score or anything, you just show us what its got.
@Revima
@Revima 10 лет назад
I also must assume as "car shows" and "reviewers" go, I'm not surprised if you can get hold of some very exciting and interesting cars because you simply dont criticize them, which some would say is a deficiency of your show, but I personally think that its quite nice because you aren't praising it either. Equal opportunity i guess.

He also had a original Sox & Martin 70 Cuda pro-stock car that was COMPLETE. The original hemi was setting on a couple of tires next to the car however, there was a real hemi in the car as well. This guy had a LOT of original MOPAR stuff in this garage. I will never forget the King Cobra or that pro-stock car. It was maroon with black side stripes (my grandfather painted it for me) a black vinyl top and black interior. Man I loved that car. I drove it until a year after I got married and my daughter was born. I was 21 and we needed the money for the baby so it was worth it, she is now a 2nd grade teacher. But 😫 I still miss that car. @@turttell2736 I've seen plenty of LS6's lose to a 69 or 70 Torino with 'just' the CJ motor, and NHRA saw more loses to the SCJ versions. Why do you think the rules are now set so that the 385 series BBF are barred from competing while rats and elephants aren't. The 429/429 Boss/460 385 series motors are JUST SO out of the bore spacing, cam to crank distance, and a few other specs. It is called buyout to kill off the to often winners. Same reason France Sr. and the NHRA feared the 427 SOHC so much. I ran a 8-71 on a Cammer in a ^* Torino GT fastback on both track and street in the late 80's/early 90's, never lost to a blown LS6 once with an 'ancient' FE.

Hey Kyle, I love your videos man! That Boss 429 sounded Beautiful! Ford is doing an amazing job and so are you! Can you do a 2015 Ford Mustang Review? Since you have reviews on 2014 and 2015 muscle cars, I thought, why not! haha

Mopar had to do the Daytona and Superbird because the Charger 500 wouldn't beat the Taledega and Cyclone Spoiler II. In 70' Ford was just about ready to bail out of factory racing support due to the Feds and other issues.
@triangleofdeath6246
@triangleofdeath6246 4 года назад
Yep, the standard charger and the 500 had a nasty tendency to spin out at high speed due to that air dam of a front grille. Just tacking on that nose gave the car a .28 drag coefficient. Quite slippery even by modern standards.

no, the best nascar prepped boss 429 was good for about 650. Stock in the 430 range.

Awesome ride. I'm a Mopar guy first but my Dad is a Ford guy so I've always had a soft spot for the Blue Oval. My favorite Ford's will always be the 65-67 Galaxie R-Code 427 and 66-67 Fairlane R-Code 427 but I've always really liked the 69 Fairlane Cobra/Cyclone CJ, 70-71 Torino Cobra, and 70 Cyclone Spoiler. In fact a 70 Cyclone Spoiler 429 SCJ Drag Pack is my favorite car ever built by Mercury

no it does not. the only Boss car belonged to Bud Moore. he owned the blue and this boss red one. The blue one and the yellow one ( the one sent to Holman) had FE motors

Me too. That definitely isn't running 13:1 compression. It would barely idle if it did and shake the ground when revved a bit

This car sounds like it has been tamed down from it's original 700Hp beginnings. That is nowhere near a 13:1 compression engine idle. You can feel a 13:1 engine beating the ground.
@jeremythompson9122
@jeremythompson9122 4 года назад
You're definitely right. A 13:1 compression engine would barely idle and literally shake the ground when revved up. This one has definitely been toned down a bit. Compression is in the low 11's I bet
