Another beautiful time capsule, Bill! Lots of options for '70. That steering wheel horn is a hoot. I remember that on one of my uncle's Caddy's. 😅🎺

I had a '70 Olds 98 two-door with vinyl covered hardtop (back in early '80s). I bought it from my Grandmother - she kept all the paperwork including the window sticker. It was fully loaded and cost just over $4000 in 1970. The air conditioning option was over $400. I wish I still had it!

I just saw a ‘70 Delta 88 Convertible sitting by the side of the road on my way home from work today. I just got a glance of it but it was in pretty rough shape, I think the front windshield frame might have even been gone. It’s always amazing to me when you see older cars now how huge they look compared to modern offerings!

Beautiful. I’m more of a 70s guy but you have to love this, the 225 and CDV, last of the monster RWD convertibles and before smog controls.

Beautiful Olds. My dash clock on my 78 didn't work and I had mine serviced by the good guys over at Clock Works. The cruise control on my 78 didn't work either and I fixed it was a simple cleaning of the contacts on the solenoid valve control and it works now.

The 455 Olds was designed for high performance. Insofar as economy was concerned, that was simply ignored.

These were great cars. My Uncle bought them then Cadillacs after 77. I love that big 455. Fast for a luxury car. I believe better than Cadillac and my parents bought these cars and they just didn’t have any trouble with them. And I now know how you were when you were young with cars ha ha.

No radio antenna is seen on the exterior. Maybe it was removed and covered over? AM radios do not work without an antenna.

What parents used to always give to their 16-year-old is their first car an Oldsmobile Delta 98 because they didn't want them to get hurt in an accident. Until they knew that they were a good driver or a bad driver. This way you just hear a loud bang and go oh my car is messed up. Today's cars the whole bunch of airbags are deployed it catches on fire they're waiting for the Jaws of Life EMS to show up it's burning with people that are knocked unconscious and being burned alive. Just to save a little gas. But this big Delta 98 made by Oldsmobile in the seventies all she wants is tank after tank of delicious dinosaur juice Yum Yum Yum when it sees a gas station the steering wheel starts to yank going turn in turn in I'm hungry. If it was only you on the road and nobody else you could drive one of these tiny little Echo mandate mobiles but there are thousands of people out there doing drugs while driving who can't read or write and can't read English road signs. Better get the big dinosaur that likes to scare them out of the way here I come I'm the gigantic Oldsmobile Delta 98
