I'm really curious of Tom and Nancy really drove a Pontiac 4 door Sedan back in the day? Tom Seaver was the famous New York Mets Pitcher and Sy Young Award winner. When I was 7 years old, I went to my first ball game and Tom Seaver was pitching against the Houston Astros! I'll never for get that great day with my Dad and Grandfather at Shea Stadium. Tom Terrific has been married to Nancy since 1966 and they own a wine vinyard in California.

I remember this commercial 53 years later. What makes it endearing is how sincere and natural the Seavers came across plus Nancy's classic punchline.

I was @ Shea the night Tom almost pitched a perfect game. 1969 a magic year. (I'll never forget the name Jimmy Qualls)

I watched that game too, on WTEN Channel 10 in Schenectady. Tom just missed getting a no-hitter. With all the great pitchers in Met history, they'd still hafta wait another 43 yrs 'til they finally got their first no-hitter, pitched by Johan Santana of all people. Another 10 years later they'd get their 2nd no-hitter, but it took 5 pitchers to do it.

Remember seeing this commercial as a kid watching games of the week . How I wanted to be like Tom Seaver when pitching Little League and I used to drop me knee to the ground jut like he did

Tom's wife is driving a 1970 Pontiac - I think it's a Pontiac Catalina. I thought it was a nice looking car when I was a kid. Sadly, I haven't seen one of these in years.

At the age of 5, my parents bought a 1965 Buick Wagon with seat belts. We were really good about wearing our belts. There was a lot of TV public service announcements about wearing them, there was one particular commercial that made me know I should always wear them...…….I've been looking for that TV commercial to upload here. We always wore our belts.

Does anyone recall the 1969 RC Cola Commercial Tom did singing the RC jingle with actress Pamela Austin. I believe it was done during spring training of that year judging by the ballpark they did it in.
