Professionally restored with the best of parts. The engine was fully restored, but never started since the rebuild. Factory cross-over tuned pipes (with replacement stingers).
Extra light construction focused on being nimble for oval track competition. For example, the bulkhead is aluminum constriction.
The EXT Specials in 1971 featured a slightly longer chassis with a 15" track that represented a significant improvement in handling.
This example is most unique with its serial number where an "X" is stamped after the serial number on the manufacturer's tag. Arctic Cat experts report that this designates that it was a prototype/test machine.
