I missed the eng comp finished shot? What a fantastic car. I was 15-16 lusting for a Vega as my first car, I was going to pump an Olds 215 alum block with a munci. But a 67 SS Camaro got in the way. If you cut the front bumper to mimic a 70 RS Camaro it looks really nice.
Bravo, very nice work. I had a 73 Vega GT when I was in the Navy. I had a blast in that little car. It had some tricks in it but nothing like this. You made art. Art that goes zoom.
Wow thank you so much for doing my favorite car. The Vega. I had almost 50 of them. Made many V8 Vegas. My favorite would be a 73 Vega panel wagon. Thank you again for a great video.......
My best friend had a 71 Vega. We were skipping school one day in 78 and hit a tree head on. Totaled the car but we both walked back to school. Good memories and that little car handled well and was faster than all the Pintos VW;s and Datsons
Great video , makes me miss my Vega I had back in the day , 72 Vega wagon with a small block 400 with work done to it , did a lot of street racing in it now running 66 Nova you have a beautiful car car there always loved the look of the front of them ✌✌
Cool vega looks like its on steroids nice job!! Had a 72 vega when I was 17 that headache was check the gas and fill it with oil but had many good times with me and my friends!!
@@LivinlifenFL One of my co-workers had a v-8 monza back in the day. I've always considered the Vega the baby Camaro because from the first year of production up to 1977 the Vega pretty much had the same body panels as the Camaro at a smaller scale, and also the headlight assembly was on par with the Camaro. I'd like to find a Vega with a nice small block..
I loved my Vega, white with black ralley stipes, Monza rims, no need to lower it. In the 80,s it turned heads, I was going to do a V6 mod on it and make it a road racer, but it was hit by a truck in a parking lot at venice beach, it was junk after that
Nice work looks great 👍 The two dislikes are because those 2 people don’t know how to appreciate long hours of hard work. They would buy something like this and brag that they did all the work ...
Yes when I was a teenager and my mother had two Vegas. She had a Vega wagon but before that she had a Vega GT which looked really cool it was a dark green with the white stripes no power whatsoever but we wrecked that one going to Florida for vacation and that’s how we ended up with the baby blue Kamback wagon. Unfortunately had to use our vacation money to buy the new car so we ended up turning around and going back home to Georgia. Yep all about memories isn’t it.
I have had some nice cars over the years but if I could have one back as my everyday ride, would be my 71 Vega hatch back, with four cylinder replacement upgrade!
Love Vegas front end looks like a Split Bumper Camaro. You did a great job turned out gorgeous. The rims you chose are the only part I do not like. A very dated style of rim. I think a set of a newer style black rim would make her sinister! Everything else is fantastic. Enjoy her!
I own a 1973 GT Hatchback. It has 14K miles and I took it to Ziebart when I bought it so it's 99% rust free. I put a cage in mine because those cars were known to be weak.
I had the DOBI catolog from the 80's. They did Monza and Vega stuff too, ended up going the Chevelle route. Still have the DOBI stickers sent with the catalog. Not sure if they are still in biz.
Can you build me an exhaust system?? lol. I set up my 75 with side pipes dumping before the rear wheel, and boy is it loud and obnoxious from the driver's seat. Sure would be nice to have a setup like yours. Guess I better get better at fabricating.
Your headers look 1000% better than the crappy leaky ones I paid top dollar for also. Sigh... Does your oil pan leak? I paid top dollar to the same idiot for that too and have never gotten it to seal. *gripe gripe complain* heh
You built a car that GM could of built back when they first produced this car, of course it would of been a SS 350 engine for the time. Way more units would of sold of course hurting sales for the Camaro and Corvettes. This car then, like yours here today, would of been a super sport car, would of outrun everything back then!
