Great built! Stylish looking Mustang! I like your hand paint skills. Excellent! Now I have the inspiration and decided to build my 1/12 th scale Japanese made Otaki, Mark 1, Mustang bought 40 over years ago! Thanks.
The fastback Mustangs are by far my favorites. I'm buying this kit! Just not to build the Bond car. You did a fantastic job on the car. Older kits need love too. Everything just seemed to go together so easy. Keep building for you!
Nice build, its been 25 years since I did a model kit, been thinking of getting back into it, I'm also from Wisconsin, Clark county, I just saw your build of the plow you did for your father, He is proud and raise you well, thanks for sharing your hobby
I was a Hobby Lobby today (40% off on all boxed model kits) and picked one of these up, just to see you build it later! Thanks for all the builds and sharing your talents.
That looks like an awesome kit with all the extra options, very nice. I will be looking for this kit, I think I want to add it into my stash. Great build and love the completed model!
Last time Connery played Bond in the official Eon movie productions. He went on to play Bond in 'Never Say Never Again' in 1983, he then went on to play Bond in the video game 'From Russia With Love' in 2005.
For chrome grilles and valances I like to sometimes use black craft paint. Let it tack up and gently wipe the excess away from the chrome you wish to reveal.
I have seen a 1973 mach one kit available the 1974 movie gone in 60 seconds was a yellow 1973. I had a 1971 and 1972 plus I drove my 1971 to the premier showing at base in kansas
I had a base '71 Mach 1 in light metallic pewter back in the early '80's. The last I heard, and this was YEARS ago, the 007 Mustang was owned by a couple in south Florida. They knew what they had and were not the least bit interested in parting with it.
Hey Hpi Guy, can you do a video on all the paints that you have, and which ones are necessary. Looking to buy a stash of paint cans and craft paints, and wanted to know which ones you have and use. Love your videos!
Nicely done Mr Bond! The paint job and future finish really pops out. I was shopping online and came across this model, which brought me to this video. So glad I did. By the way, putting the mirrors on in advance was educational for me...because so many times I have messed up my paint job trying to put the side mirrors on last. Again you made this look so easy....nice work.
Man, love the look of that mustang Chris!! Plus! You really set the mood on this build with the '70s music!! I am at the point where I want to break out one of my bee gees CDs and start jamming!! Rock on to the 70's! Proud to be in that era
@@hpiguy Chris, question for you my friend. Are you by any chance going to build that 69 Dodge super Bee?? I would truly love to see you build that so I got an idea on how to build mine. I picked it up for this particular reason cuz you got it and waiting for you to build it 😊
Drat, I just saw this kit in HL and I didn't get it. The optional build parts look like they'd make a great looking car as well. Thanks for the 70's dance party! Really woke things up out here in the shed at 4 AM!! :)
Even though I'm a Chevy guy I like the 71-73 Mustangs. Reminds me of that 73 Grande a buddy of mine had in high school. It was white with a black vinyl top with a 351 Cleveland backed by a C6 trans. That thing would smoke the tires in all three gears
looks like Round2 did a little tool revision and made a decent kit, that you built up nicely!.Just one other thing, please change that filter in your paint booth.
Another great video. I’ve been watching your videos for quite a long time, and I would love if you did a video of every kit you’ve done and show all the cars next to each other somehow! There must be hundreds!
Awesome work! Chris you're actually a great modeler. When the model was just coming out from the box the first thought I had was "what a piece of junk is this" but at the end, you did a wonderful work. Kudos and happy new 2021.
Great build chris..do you remember the movie "the mechanic" with Charles Bronson and Jan Michael Vincent from back in 1972?..that Ford Mustang mach one looks just like the one that Jan Michael Vincent drove in that movie😊😊😊👍👍👍
Happy New Year Chris. Thanks for this AWESOME video! Ya know, you are the reason I started building street cars again. Every video is SO inspiring, no matter what you build. You always make it fun, keep it real & stress the fact that it's about building for YOU, and to have fun at it!!!! That's a BIGGIE for most people I believe. But what do I know right? However Chris, again thanks for your continued posting of the very best videos. SO inspiring, informative & absolutely the best time of the week. I always look forward to EVERY video!!!! See you next time, stay AWESOME my friend...
Happy New Year, Chris. Great job building this 71 Mach I, Sean would be proud. Looking forward to watching your videos this year, you have a lot of cool kits to build.
Beautiful!!! Great work, as always! I am building the 1/8 scale Eleanor from Eaglemoss. Can't wait to start that thing. It's about 2 feet long. Just finished the 1/8 scale Delorean. Not true modelling but it's fun to put together!
Mustang came out great, I really dig the red pepper color. I have a couple older issues of this kit from the 70's and 80's, they all seem to be about the same kit besides decals and maybe the color of the plastic. Keep the builds coming Chris and hope you and yours a happy New Year.
Excellent superb outstanding remarkable I love the way you did it it’s too bad we lost the star Sean Connery .he did not drive the car you did for the movie one of his advisaries
Enjoyed your video, thank you very much! I have a real one and was happy to see how you nailed the little details. Spot on! Like the original stance ;-) I only wonder why in the world so many manufacturer of model cars insert a cowl vent in the rear of the hood but the 71-73 Mustangs never had one... Keep up the good videos!
Nice 70s Billy Preston vibe with that funk-a-licious music at the the 22:00 or so mark. ;-) P.S. Connery played Bond one more time, though it wasn't in an authorized Broccoli movie. It was in '83's "Never Say Never Again."
