Good Evening and Welcome to fordmustang98guy, It is another day in which to excel, I am back with another car review. I am real sorry that I have been off the air for a while, the weather has been so cold lately here in Canada. So moving forward we are in 2024 and This Evening I will be taking you on an in depth tour & walk-around of the 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of the car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, and featuring a startup as well. A thorough tour/review of the car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

This is THE MOST beautiful Mustang ever produced. I'd take this over the new Dark Horse edition.

@@ronniehill6142 You’re comparing an 80k Mustang to one that originally cost a quarter of that ? 😂

If you take that over the new darkhorse, ur a true fool! This doesn't come close to the dark horse performance wise...as far as nostalgic looks, it definitely has the dark horse beat...but it absolutely will not out perform new muscle! So don't be a schmuck!

I've always loved the 71-73 Mustangs because of the appearances that car made in Diamonds Are Forever and the original Gone in 60 Seconds.

That is one beautiful Mustang. The color on that car looks like a bright blue metallic. And if the color code is 3J, then it is a bright blue metallic. My ‘72 Mustang Mach 1 has that same color

Beautiful paint on this Mach 1, and the color name is Acapulco Blue, one of my favorite colors on these cars. My favorite factory is color is Highland Green, my dad had a '71 Highland Green convertible with the 351 C engine when I was a kid, so I'm biased.

All 351's are small blocks. The early 351's were either Windsors or Clevelands (named after the casting plant). In 1971 the Cleveland was standard, in either 2v or 4v. The Windsor has the coolant hose and thermostat going in the intake manifold. The Cleveland has it going in the front of the block.
@porcupinepudding8174
@porcupinepudding8174 6 месяцев назад
Was the angle of the stroke in a Cleveland block different from a Windsor casting? Not sure.
@1400IntruderVS
@1400IntruderVS 6 месяцев назад
Technically a Windsor is a Windsor and a Cleveland a Cleveland. Ford didn't really use the terms Small block and big block. Their larger engine families were Y Blocks ,FE ,and 385 series.
@charlesvan13
@charlesvan13 5 месяцев назад
@@porcupinepudding8174 All American V8s are 90 degrees. The Windsor and Cleveland both have 4'' bore and 3.5'' stroke. But the blocks are completely different.

Don't pump the gas on old cars with carbs and ele tric choke! Turn the key to the on position ,depress the excelerater pedal to the floor once and release ,then turn key to crank /start. The engine will start. Allow time for engine temp to reach proper running temp. The choke should open ,lowering idle speed. If the choke sticks ,give the gas a quick stab or a short engine rev and release. Idle should kick down. If you pump the gas while trying to cold start ,the choke will not be properly set, and you will induce a hard start.
