This Mach 1 is PERFECT.. Here's Why! (Handling Pkg Manual) 

Just picked up a 22 Mach 1 manual w/handling pack, and I absolutely love this car! 6th mustang and by far Ford killed this spec! Love everything about the handling pack cars and it looks amazing!

I have a 22 Mach 1 handling pack with the tremec. The ten horsepower takes about 15 minutes to get back with a flat head screw driver

So I have a 21 FJG HP/Manual/Recaro and I can't tell you how much I love the car. I flew from DC up to NH to get the exact car I wanted, so yes, the HP/Manual is a rare find.

After the reveal of the 2024 this just aged over night. I think I like this more though.

That's the exact one I have, love it. It's a 21, I ordered it Jan of 21 but didn't get it until Sept 21. 6 speed makes it second to none. I'm glad I ordered it the first day I could, I would not have gotten it if I didn't. The dealer also sold it to me at msrp thankfully. This is basically a shelby for less money and better low end torque. I definitely think they underrated the engine. All dynos have it 500 plus at the crank. Just buy it racer!

I enjoyed that report. Yes, it is a perfect setup for a daily driver you can autocross and do track days. Interesting it had cloth seats which I prefer. Might even give Karl Flammer a call. Nice presentation.

I have Mach 1 Tremec 6SP on the way - just shipped after 5 month factory build wait. Non-Handling Pack. I prefer the low key look and don’t expect to go on track. 315’s on HP are huge and sticky / balding tire for track. I want street focus (my younger days are past). I did get the Fighter Jet Grey with nicer wheels - same as you saw in showroom.

Fun Fact: Just got a quote for a new Chevy Express Work Van in Sacramento, $7500 dealer markup!!! Freaking hilarious they did a line item for a Chevy rebate of $1200 and marked it in RED.

Totally in agreement with you, if i could not get a GT350, then the track pack w/manual trans Mach 1 would be the way to go. Get it in the that Blue color they have, that would be the deal. Nice review bud.

The white HP Mach 1 is missing the front wheel moldings that keep rocks from hitting the paint. My own 2022 HP Mach 1 was also missing them along with the front splitter not being installed. The salespeople did not know about the front wheel moldings because they were sent from the manufacturer in Oceanside, CA directly to the dealer. Ford contracted with Air Design USA to supply those wheel moldings but for some reason they did not get installed prior to delivery. So it became a dealer installed option that comes with every handling package Mach 1. It also came on other Mustangs like the Shelby GT 500 if I'm not mistaken. So my Mach 1 was delivered to the dealer October 2022 and the wheel moldings were shipped to the dealer around the same time, but the parts department never associated the wheel moldings with the Mach 1. So the box sat in the back of the parts department for months when I started asking about the missing moldings. Each and every box of wheel moldings has the VIN for each Mach 1 it's meant for. So the sales person found my box of wheel moldings with my VIN ont he box and I picked them up and installed them myself. Piece of cake.... But because this Mach 1 doesn't have the wheel moldings installed, I assume the same thing happened there.

My first car was a standard mustang 2007 nothing crazy but I fell in love. Been looking at Mopars for at least a month and a half and was settled on one. Watched a Mach 1 video the other day and lets just say i'm getting a Mach 1 😅

Great video Racer X. This Mach 1 is a great car. I will say that the tires on that Mach weren’t Cup 2’s. I believe they were the 4S’s. Being a used Mach the original owner either used up the Cup 2’s or like some owners, they changed the tires. Also it looks like the front fender wheel well trim was never installed.

Take the carbon filter out of the intake tube…get the 10 horsepower back and then some.

That Tremec TR-3160 is an amazing MT and it is a HUGE upgrade to the Getrag MT-82 in terms of reliability, smoothness and drivability. Great review as always and I'm happy to be part of that 21% 😀!

After owning two challengers and a Camaro SS one 1LE, I can say that the Mach1 manual non-handling package is the sweet spot for street driving, I don’t race on the track. Waited six months, no regrets, so much easier to drive than the other two and enjoyable.

Nice review! The 2022/23 have a carbon filter in the intake tube near the air filter. Remove the restrictive carbon filter and....bammm horsepower restored to 480hp!!

Handling package will drag on driveways and the tires are basically slicks and need replacement more often. Definitely something to avoid if you actually want to drive it on the street.

This looks like Mustang's Scat Pak. It's really nice! And it makes Dodge just look worse for getting rid of their V8's. If Ford can do it, Dodge could. I own a HC but, sorry Dodge, middle finger to you getting rid of Hellcats and Scattys. I'd buy this Mach1 in a minute!

Here soon these cars are going to go for a premium, since the 2024 model has a "Dark Horse" version instead of a Mach 1.

This with nice set longtubes and a supercharger is all you need honestly.

I see very few states adopting the law to phase out ICE sales by 2035. Ford did well in choosing not to place all of their inventory into the EV market since the bulk of the states have not followed that EV bandwagon.

My Ford dealer showed me a black Mach 1. Gorgeous car... except it was an automatic. I wish I could put the money down on a manual. IF... and I mean IF Ford puts out a last Mach 1 with the new G7, I will totally pick that one up. Just a gorgeous combination of track and street. Sex on wheels. Great review.

I've been looking at the mach 1's since my search for a hellcat has been fruitless so far. I had ford put me on wait list for the dark horse but figured worst case if i can't get the dark horse ill get the Mach 1 and supercharge it.

Traded in my rather boring 2021 C8 Z51. The exhaust on that car is a hugh let down. Don’t warn to spend $5K for a tad louder exhaust the GM offers. Hell I have the performance exhaust on the Z51. But it’s just very quite when you hold a gear. No visceral feeling at all. Made good money on the C8’s I’ve owned. Now in a 2022 manual dark matter gray mach 1. Leather Recaros and they feel much better then the 350R seats. Those looked and felt CHEAP in the 350. Night and day difference between the fun factor in the manual mach1 compared to the rather boring C8 auto trans. That trans sometimes feels like it has a glitch in shifting. I know some customers have had issuers. Didn’t want to wait around to find out so I traded in the bore mobil. Really what the hell was GM thinking with that exhaust. 4 years in and they still haven’t addressed the issue of sound. So now they bring out a super loud Z06. Hold a gear in that machine and you think you are driving a motorcycle. Doesn’t sound like any corvette in the past. That might be good or bad depending on your taste

As a owner of a gt350 and a mach1 hp. They are the same car just the one with coyote has great reliability. This new dark horse will essentially be the same car again with updated Coyote intake. Pick your poison ☠️

The tremic and the HP is the ONLY way to go with a Mach 1. It's what makes this car stand apart. If you're considering a non-hp 10 speed, save yourself some money and get a GT. I think the Mach 1 in that spec will disappoint most.

These are just too expensive for what you get. Ford is clearly targeting wealthy older buyers who remember the original Mach-1. The price needs to be $10K lower. Otherwise, the Camaro SS 1LE makes far more sense, since those start at just $46K. As Randy Pobst proved, the SS 1LE and Mach-1 w/handling package are equal on the track. I guess if you plan to daily drive the Mach-1, it might be better for some folks over the SS 1LE…but as we all know, the Challenger (or Charger) would be an even better daily driver.
