I did not see you outline the dash and control knobs . Did not see you pop the hood for a view of engine. What are you asking for the unit ? You have done a good job restoring. Do you have any before / after pictures or videos??? Thanks , JB
can this FJ43 be soundproofed with today's product? When I drove it in the freeway, I almost couldn't concentrate due to the loudness in the cabin. The engine sound, the tire hitting the asphalt sound, etc. If it can, is it still worth the money? After all this truck was made for public in 1971.
There are soundproofing measures you can take with an FJ. FJXX's come with stamped metal tubs, you can layer on soundproofing materials like dynamat or any other brand, and then on top of that install a carpet kit to your liking for appearance / comfortability.
