If you are a younger generation and laugh at The Bee Gees and ID them only with the “disco” era, this is just a sample of what you have missed. Incredible talent never to be duplicated.
Terrific ballad, perfectly synchronized voices, very melodic & harmonious. This song is a perfect example of why the BG's are way, waaaay more talented & far-reaching than their hyper-popular disco era. I could listen to this song 10 times in a row, such a gem. God Bless the 3 lost brothers & the sole survivor, Barry!
This song gives me the feeling of being home. I grew up with this song, my parents weren't even born when this was first heard and they said their parents played this while growing up, it's one of the songs that brings back the feeling of being young and home with our parents.
I was there I was 9 back in 72 it was one of my favorite songs I'll admit I didn't know it was the Bee Gees who sang this I just I really didn't pay attention to them till about 1975 with their song called Jive talking all I can tell you is that it brings back good memories and as a 59 year old man I'm still enjoying these songs
I used to hear the Bee Gees songs (ballads) on the radio a lot. Then came the Disco era and Saturday Night fever. Now I'm rediscovering their song 40 years later and I can't get enough of them :)
I started buying Bee Gees singles with 1941 Mining Disaster, Holiday, Massachsetts, and Run to Me! Never bought Night Flu or More than a tooth ache. Robin's balads where the best! And I didn't even know about the Robin vs Big Brother falcetto singing squabble till years later!
I as about 13 yeas old when. First heard this song . I was with a boy whose name I can't recall and he was singing this song to me whilst it was on the radio . I can't remember his name but I'll never forget hearing this song for the very first time , and loving it . I'm 55 years old now and I still love it .
This isn't my fave (I'd have to say that would go to "Holiday" or "Love You Inside Out", but it's in my top 10. (And if that sounds not very good, I liked SO MANY of their songs... I do remember hearing this one on the radio when I was young, though.)
This is in my Top 5 best Bee Gees songs. Underrated but very powerful. So much emotion. I get quite teary eyed while chills go through me. Thank you Bee Gees. One of your very best. 👏
I think it's cute that when you say the Bee Gees most people say ohh yeah that disco group. And then there's the rest of their music. Try listening to all of their music. Then call them Disco!! Their harmonies were and are unmatched.
Never ever too late...that's what the beauty of music is all about - loved by all of human kind wherever & whenever you are in this life...I was raised listening to the Bee Gees from their start & I love their most gorgeous music today as much as I did decades ago. Only difference is now when I listen, it brings me to 😢😢
We are born on this earth, we spend a short time on it while trying to enjoy life's little pleasures, then we go. For me Bee-Gees and Abba stamped a big heart on my short life something that'll never be removed.
dear alyssa, i love you. i send this song to you for you. i miss your laugh, your goofy you and your very deeply loving you. i miss you like breath like a smile i can't get back. it hurts so so much.....it's been a while. i love you. -me. when you jumped i died.
