What I found when bonding fiberglass panels is to never put holes in them to temporarily hold them in place. The holes will always come back to haunt you.
I understand. There’s definitely a few different schools of thought here. My plan is to shred the mix strand fiberglass and mix it directly into the resin and fill each individual hole. Seems excessive but the alternative is to spend $500 on 18-24 inch vice grip clamps. We’ll find out soon enough. 🤞Thanks for watching!
Taper the edge of the hole back as far as possible before filling for the least noticeable results. The problem with fiberglass is the thermal expansion. You can fill, sand, prime and paint over the holes and it looks great until the car sits in a hot sun for awhile. Keep up the good work.
